TM, I understand your technique and gear. I run the same type of thing throughout the season. I also like to use a variety of gear and different techniques to suit the conditions and terrain as well as my mood. This is not a pissing contest. Please don't feel so threatened. I am just responding to your sometimes contradictory and rather close-minded approach to skiing. And your photos that you mention are OK, albeit repetitive and really don't make me 'drool', but they make me glad I've got an open mind about ski gear and technique as well as a whole season ahead of me!Teleman wrote:Conman, I accept that you ski the steepest, deepest, most gnarly lines on the best equipment....Good for you...There are others out there who do the same lines in deeper snow with less....Camels Hump has 2,500 verts of wonderful skiing....If you do like we have done you can get about 3700 verts of wild skiing....If we floundered like you in your ignorance keep on saying I wouldn't be alive to write about it...Those skis the e99 wood core were one of many incarnations of the best selling ski in history and continues as the best selling ski in history....We got a huge laugh that we could torque the skis on floppy leathers and pins to crush them....As some of you have said it's the skier and a good skier can ski anything....Vectors force you into semi parallel.....Not interested....They are dogs on the way up....they turn well on the down.....Different kinds of skiers don't necessarily cross the fall line in a turn....Some play with the fall line while arcing but heading them down most of the time....Not turning in fear of speed or trees like some....My advise Con-man is open your eyes and try to see a different kind of ski motion....one that works here on the very steep and often wicked deep....Don't believe look at the pictures on this site and drool....TM

Hang in there connyman, figure with work on your part you too could become a decent BC Tele Skier....But you and like minded souls will never achieve the feel if your on Mondo plastic boots....mondo wide snow ploughs, and heavier than my skis bindings....Some people need that stuff....have at it....Some don't and love the freedom....Also I laugh at your insults of picture taking.....Got any yourself connie? Put them up and unlike your negativity, I will appreciate them...TM
Re: Fischer 2015-2016 product line-up???
You are good for a morning laugh! I ski a variety of gear from skinnies and leathers, NNN-BC, all the way through heavier plastic boots and free pivot bindings. You scoff at NNN-BC, as well as plastic boots and heavier bindings, so who's the open minded BC skier in this scenario? You with your fanatical obsession with ONE type of ski gear? MAYBE some of us don't need strictly feather-weight gear in order to have fun. And I don't need to splatter the internets with photos of myself skiing mostly because we are busy skiing instead of posing for snapshots, but thanks for asking so nicely! Now go upgrade to some skis that your clumsy ass won't break every outingTeleman wrote:Hang in there connyman, figure with work on your part you too could become a decent BC Tele Skier....But you and like minded souls will never achieve the feel if your on Mondo plastic boots....mondo wide snow ploughs, and heavier than my skis bindings....Some people need that stuff....have at it....Some don't and love the freedom....Also I laugh at your insults of picture taking.....Got any yourself connie? Re: Fischer 2015-2016 product line-up???
Biggest storm we had in November was way back when Telepole became a real telemarker.....Marine Birthday....Nov 10th.....17 inches of heavy wet snow which got us a day off after every school bus in the town was sideways....Got the Students home and off we went....Stowe....Up the packed Toll Road....At the confluence of trails where the Bruce starts....A first ccc trail on the Mountain.....Had long ski poles and they went in without touching bottom,@3-5 feet of powder that high up.....First snow...3:00 pm...when telepole augers in....7 minutes later he found his skis....still attached....Had a huddle....Have to head them straight down....arc where the ski trail arcs....Let the skis run....turn is bad!!!!!!!!! Telepole is and was a quick study and he has little fear....He headed them down....a Great ride....20 inches at the bottom in near dark conditions.....Big smiles....Telepole was happening....Still is....Semper Fi, Telepole you Jarhead with roots on Monkey Mountain....Da Nang, Republic of South Vietnam....TM

That's some pricey stuff man...doesn't make the Asnes look so expensive does it?
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.
