The Fifty First State

This is the place to debate politics, global warming, and yes, even the origin of man, whatever. Simply put, if you want to argue about off topic stuff, you've found the right board. Have fun!

There is some truth to only the government can plow the road LHartley- I remember a guy in Calgary getting fined by the city for clearing roads with his Bobcat years ago- their rationale was that he could possibly damage curbs, foilage etc. The city wasn’t clearing those streets because they were low priority but at the same time wouldn’t allow a private citizen make the street a little safer for use, maybe prevent an accident.

That doesn't surprise me at all, Calgary is run by degenerates. Most of southern Alberta rural roads are done by private sector. Volker Stevin, they do excellent work

"The Donald". The wife that he had buried on his golf course gave him that nickname.

The Donald's favorite past presidents. "Indian Killer" Andrew Jackson who doubled the size of the US with his Trail of Tears removal of the natives. William McKinley who oversaw a period of American expansionism, with the annexations of Hawaii, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Guam, and American Samoa.

The Donald wants to annex Canada to cement his legacy.

There is a Yogi Berra quote that fits here. "The game aint over til the fat lady sings"

LOL, like the whole administration and most of the population aren't 100 percent on board with ensuring water, resources and land for an impossibly insatiable population. "The Donald" is simply an installed actor scapegoat to ease the burden of another imperialist American era. Canada is just an unrealized resources, whereas America is saturated. Russia will also be dealing with this eventually, hence NATO (America) closing in

Well you and I agree on the Donalds personal dream 99.9% of the other 350million+ do not want more territory and certainly not land gained by force. Good news is the whole Manifest Destiny rehash idea will die when he's gone.

Elbows Up. Keep your stick on the ice, we're all in this together.

Lemme ask you this. Let's say your Daddy Donald DID make power moves and gained landmass by either military or sanction. Do you think that the next party to hold office will just up and give at back? Pls say yes, if love a good laugh

You say "next party" like it was pre trump America and we will have another election that counts. Every day the lawlessness of his administration reaches a new high. Disappearing people. Arresting Judges. Arresting citizens. It's nutZz. The mandate was to move fast and break things and the Constitution is for losers. He bought the Supreme Court to tell lies for him.

So he has forever to own you in one way or another. Maybe a relationship like Puerto Rico, Samoa, or oddly, the city of
Washington DC. You are property of the US of A but only with the rights the Donald grants you. You'll love it.

I do enjoy your sensationalism. I'm still not very worried about the actor they're distracting everyone with. If we become the 51st state the worst part will be dealing with your batshit crazy partisan politics, makes Canadian political theatre seem like a daytime soap op

Least you guys have term limits, we had to deal with a drama teacher that doesn't believe in fiscal policy for ten years. Hence where we are at.

BTW, thats a pretty impressive constitution you got there, hundreds of years of integrity only to be taken out by a an actor that grew up on a trust fund? Bro they're taking you for a ride

Your shade gets in the way of your comprehension. Not being alarmist. Senators say out loud they are afraid to displease him. We don't have term limits anymore. The Supreme Court is in a bind. When donnie was running against Kamala for president the Supremes ruled that the law is whatever the president says the law is. I'm predicting mass protests like the anti Vietnam days. I passed on the big one in DC that you saw in Forest Gump. Love to go to DC for this one. Like the last time, It'll happen after a few civilians are killed at protests by government troops. Deja vu all over again.
