Tua Wilderness
Anyone farmiliar with this ski? Bought these "used"- though they are essentially in emaculate condition.
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

Re: Tua Wilderness
Hi there,
I thought I'd chime in with a little info. This ski made buy Tua ( company declared bankruptcy) first appeared
as the "Toute Neige" a relatively soft back country ski and changed to "Wilderness" when distribution changed. It was a purple coloured ski with a wood core and Titanal metal top-sheet. In it's day( late 80's- 1900's} it was a fantastic single camber turny, damp ski though outdated by today's standards.
Compared to today's snowboard width skis you will be sinking a lot in deep snow but will probably be great for spring/meadow skipping. I have skied and still have both models, though have not used them in a decade or more.
I think you will like them if you respect their limitations.
Kwan

Re: Tua Wilderness
Blague à part, I remember an interview from Dickie Hall saying it was a game changer, the Toute Neige. He was also saying they were joking about the fact that the name sounded like someone sneezing... It was in Off-piste magazine, if my memory is good...
