New England Resorts?
Hey Everyone,
Would love your guidance. I skied a pair of Koms (164) with T4's at a resort in New England this spring. It was awesome. Super fun and great in the trees.
Anyone have a rec for a non-scaled ski that is similar to a Kom (I.E. very turney, not necessarily super fast)? Would like to drive them with my T4s. Bonus if they are cheap!

Re: New England Resorts?
I would stay mid-80’s underfoot. My Tindan 86 is more touring oriented and I would not recommend it for piste use. The reason I mentioned it, is because I ski it with my T-4. I think under 90 mm would be the sweet spot for T-4. I know guys I respect here ski wider on T-4, but that is BC. The piste can become quite firm in the East. It was firm when I went to Vermont the season before last. I don’t know much of anything about piste skis. I bought a Fey Brothers Summit Cone Pariah. I was mostly concerned about the flex being correct. Now, that I’ve been back to the ski hill, there are a few more people to talk skis with, maybe things would be different. When I purchased, I trusted Martin at Fey Brothers. I wanted a wood core, dampened piste ski. I wanted the flex to be right. He recommended the Pariah, which to my thing was wide at 97 mm underfoot. He recommended 177 cm which was shorter than ANYTHING I ever skied. It worked well for me. I really do like the ski. However, it isn’t spectacular in any fashion, unless being reliable and fun matters. Over the last two years of skiing piste more frequently, I have run into a few guys on the Pariah. They all really liked it as well. I am still a BC guy first.
I said I recommend 80’s underfoot. Summitcone offers a Blitz 88. That’s what I would purchase for piste skiing on a T-4.
All that being said, there are a lot of good skis. Hopefully more folks will respond. @MSU Alum is really tuned into piste skiing. He seems to wear out more than a few skis. If he replies, I would consider what he has to say.
