Fix to secure glasses retainer strap

Post by MichiganNathaniel » Fri Feb 02, 2024 2:57 pm

I like to wear ordinary sunglasses, rather than goggles. But I often shove them up on my forehead when looking at the phone, and sometimes I dive headfirst into the snow--so I need a retainer strap. But I haven't found a commercially available strap that will fasten securely to the thin earpieces of my sunglasses, but not interfere with the fit behind my ear. The tube sleeve type is comfortable, but just pulls off. The solution is to add several tiny rubber bands to the sleeve--easily done by expanding the bands with a pair of needle nose pliers. Hope this idea is helpful to some other glasses-wearers.
