Meidjo or Outlaw X for Line SFB?

Heyo! First post!
I was looking to get my first all new tele setup this season. Started out on 75mm Voile 3 pin and moved over to NTN Freedom two seasons ago. I really enjoy the feel of NTN so wanted to go on with that.
Been looking at either Meidjo 3 or Outlaw X on a pair of Line Sir Francis Bacon skis, but really unsure if its a good match, or even which binding will be best? Im planning on doing mostly backcountry skiing this winter, with a few days inbounds. The Meidjo seemes to be the best choice for BC, but I've got this gut feeling that I will be more happy with the Outlaw X.
Any wise protectors of the turn out there with some advice?
Thank you!
Yours
Tore

Either will be fine. If you're primarily BC, I'd go with the Meidjo.
I have both and I have come to prefer the Meidjo. I found it harder to get used to at first but once I adjusted there's something about the feel of it that I preferred. It feels more fluid.
Outlaw has a lot of power, and nice to step into and out of... but the pivot on the Meidjo seems to really work with the bellows of the boots better.
Biggest hassle with Meidjo is just getting in and out of it. And all that plastic makes me nervous something will break.

Its exactly the reason im doubting the Meidjo.
For me weight wouldn't be a major factor, and the Outlaw X looks to have a more energy friendly pivot than the freedom(although not close to Meidjo).

For reference, I am 200lbs and 5'8", and a fairly aggressive skier. Not small. I skied my Meidjo exclusively inbounds last year, about 5 or 6 times. A few days in the Alberta rockies, and a few days here in the east.
The only problems I had with durability were with the alpine heel. Both broke. I wouldn't recommend the extra $$ for them.
I liked the Meidjo so much I bought a second pair for a new set of (inbounds) skis this year

and I dunno if I'll use my outlaws at all.
Once you get used to the Meidjo, there's just something about the way it flexes...

How often do you see pictures or reports of broken Meidjos? I haven’t. Some time ago i did see pictures of broken outlaws. I suppose it’s a better indicator than just the perception. Also parts are available, so chances are that you will be able to repair broken plastic parts rather easily. If you are touring for one day or two I wouldn’t be so concerned, the risk is low and impact probably low too. But you’ll enjoy the benefits all the time. The 2.1 are hard to get in, not so much first time in the morning but after some use. This is because of snow buildup under the jaws, i carry a Swiss Army knife and remove it before stepping in, problem solved.

Yeah, I think it’s a hard decision to make because personal preference is all about feel, feel is totally subjective, and side to side demos are non existent (in PNW where I am).
If you can, look to borrow or demo even if only for one run.
I will say that I ski outlaws and really like them for feel, quality, durability, and ease of use (wo brakes), and I think they would pair well with the SFB.

I do think that someone who came from an old school 3-pin etc background will find a lot more to love in the Meidjo than the Outlaw. The Outlaw is great and powerful and does have a progressive flex, but compared to Meidjo, has more of a "jacknife" feel. The M gives more emphasis on the bellows in the boot and holds the toes securely in I think a better position for a more elegant movement.
But, subjective. Buy both

Thanks you all!
I ended up going with the outlaws, probably because of me wanting a more powerful feel.
All there is to do now is pray to Ullr and cross the fingers for a great season.
