Altai has last year’s 75mm Alico on sale with a selection of most sizes. Any opinions on last years boot?
They do say in the linked article that rhis year’s women’s boot is lasted a little narrower in the heel and I tend to have narrow heels, especially my right heel. Maybe I should go with a women’s fit?
I emailed them and asked about the fit of their old model. They said that they fit quite large, and they didn't have the size down from my normal size. According to this new listing, their new boots are more true to size.
On another thread someone mentioned that they have similar characteristics to the Alpina Alaska, but with a wider fit.
"women’s boot is lasted a little narrower in the heel and I tend to have narrow heels, especially my right heel. Maybe I should go with a women’s fit?"
I probably would, my foot's low volume, narrow, and I've gotten a better fit on a couple of boots that way (if they make the women's model in your size... they usually top out at what would be a men's 9, or women's 10, +/-).
I had a pair of classic Norwegian welted Alico leathers, and the heel pocket on those was quite spacious, as I recall, but no experience with their molded sole models.

I occasionally order three or four pairs, try them on, and send back the ones that don't fit. Sometimes that's all of them!
You could try these, although I'm not sure if the forward-lean is adjustable:
You mean with the risers up?
Skiing with the risers up is quite feasible, as long as the risers are well protected from frostbite.
Some time ago a member here claimed that women tend to “under-pole”. If your wife or partner does this then I wouldn’t worry about risers. However, if the wife/partner tends to over-pole then the risers might require more attention.
I received a pair of BC boots today. The boots seem like good quality, unfortunately the fit is terrible. I have a moderately wide forefoot and they are crammed in forefoot in horizontal width but there is a lot of vertical volume in the forefoot. The heel is incredibly voluminous to the point where there is no hope of fixing it with heel risers or ezee fits. Instep volume is very high. All around it's a weird and bad fit for me. I know that everyone has different feet, but I can confidently sat thay this boot will not fit most people.
What other options are there for midweight leather 3 pin boots, decent for kick and glide, that fit moderately wide feet? I've tried the Crispi Bre, but unfortunately my foot grew half size and they are too short. They were a bit too soft underfoot for my preference and then duckbill is too thin for voile. But maybe it's the best option.

Dang man that is not good news. I was looking at those 2 boots. I know the Crispi would fit my feet, but it appears confirmed it is not a good match for my Voile bindings. All my 3 pin are various Voile. Next hope was the Altai BC but I also have a wide forefoot. What to freaking do?! Spend $300 on the Crispi and modify the bill or get the Alico and try to stretch the toe box that has a rand......

The fit is just weird. My big toe has excessive room, my little toe is pressed against something hard, there is excessive vertical volume in the toe box, and my inner metatarsal pushed against the rubber rand. The rubber rand is hard without much give. Heel pocket is MASSIVE.
I don't know, maybe it would fit someone.
I have my Merrel ultras which fit great, but are overkill for a lot of stuff. At least I have one great boot.
I was hoping for something a bit beefier than the Bre. The Bre is good for mellow terrain skinny skis, but I wanted something for mid width skis when my Merrel Ultras with their reinforced cuff are too much.
