Rottefella Freedom Problems
Rottefella Freedom Problems
All -
New to this forum and to tele skiing and have one question for now.
I just bought a used ski / binding set up that use the Rottefella Freedom binding and purchase separately a pair of Crispi Evo boots. There is a small hinge on the binding that switches from touring to skiing when engaged. This works fine, until I put the boot in the binding, when it cannot be suppressed. Anybody else have this problem and know how to fix it?
Thanks!

Re: Rottefella Freedom Problems
To make sure I understand you:
In this video, after stepping in, the first step is to push down on the metal lever and then push down on the tour/ski tab.
In your case, you can push down on the metal lever, but can't push down on the tour/ski tab, correct?
Sometimes, if the heel is at all elevated, the ski/tour tab can't be depressed.
Also, there is a plastic piece inside that might be broken or slightly out of position, but I can't begin to explain how to fix that - if that's the problem.
Did you buy it from a store, or an individual?

Re: Rottefella Freedom Problems
Hello,
I got myself those bindings (NTN Freedom) as well, brand new and freshly mounted and got this exact same issue...
I cannot push the small hinge with the pink strip on it when the boot is in the binding. It works well without the boot, but something seems blocking the small hinge to go down the bigger one as soon as the boot is in place.
And yes, that would correspond to the "tour mode" part of the video... Any clue?
