Xplore snowshoes?

Are there Xplore snowshoes yet?

I see Rottefella has a skate binding.

TSL has a snowshoe step in system like Tech bindings.

LLBean sold TSL type snowshoes for a while.

I would love a snowshoe without straps or the boa system for knocking around the local trails.

I’ve wondered this myself. Thought about making a set. Sometimes it would make sense to snowshoe in and ski out. One pair of boots would make that more convenient.

My snoeshoe binding is leather but the principle is similar to a switchback I believe, platform and free pivot at the toes and strap around heel. I don't use plastic or metal snowshoes but I imagine you could modify them to take whatever binding you want. Whether it works and is durable is another story.

The first Xplore concept had both Snowshoes and crampons, but then the release mechanism was also in the shoe. Original concept:

The original concept is what i was misremembering.

Might be pretty nice on snowmobile trails.

I have an 'extra' Xplore binding. I think this would be great with my Alfa Free boots. Seems like it would be pretty easy to put together. I don't want to destroy my fairly nice Tubbs snowshoes so I'll have to find a donor.

So far Xplore has got me covered on all skiing between regular NNN on prepared tracks and plastic telemark (NTN/75mm cable) in piste and backcountry, as well as nordic/touring skating and hiking (*), so I like it. Quick and easy entry/exit on Snowshoes and crampons would be icing on the cake, even though I have not used snow shoes so far. I have used Snowline Chainsen Pro light crampons with success on my Alfa Skaget.
