Re: Which skis for multi-days expedition? Voile V6? Rossi BC100?

I can understand why a guy would want to use plastic boots and wide skis, but i would suggest the Voile ultra vector as opposed to the V6 for what the OP described.

Re: Old Trek Tele Skis

for 80 bucks they're probably worth it, especially if they fill a hole in your quiver. I'd guess they have minimal sidecut like other skis from that era. I would be more interested in camber and flex. The seller may even take less money because of the limited market for them, Play it Again Sports in...

Re: More Red Love

I admire your dedication to waxing Bob, especially where you live. I somehow I managed almost 15 years in Pa. with wax and klister, which wasn't easy and another 15 years in Alaska which was easy with 6 months of cold winter snow. I never had a no wax ski I liked until I got the Voiles. Then the wea...

Re: Argh Can't decide which 75 mm binding for Vectors

voile has a chart with measurements for finding boot center on all their models, I'd go with that I kid you not! That puts pin line 1.25 inches forward of the balance point with the Excursions, a bit more forward with the 3-buckle scarpa's. ULLR HAS SPOKEN! I didn't mount mine myself and never chec...

Re: Argh Can't decide which 75 mm binding for Vectors

that ease of use of a step-in, which is a wonderful feature, 3. Voile Hardwire 3-pin. Baaahb, 3 pin hrdwr is further away from step-in than you are from the moon. That's true twopass, but I think Baahb can do it if he loosens his belt and takes a few deep breaths before hand. If he is dizzy after t...

Re: can I used NNN boots/bindings with real skis on a Nordictrack?

A friend of mine mounted three pins on the boards that came with the machine. I don't see any benefit in it other than breaking in your boots. It may also make it more unsafe if you lose your balance. I want to add that last year I blew out my back on a Nordic Track. Make sure the pad is on your hip...
