Re: Scarpa T4 sizing

I don't think that holds true anymore with mouldable liners. My foot measures 26 x 113 that's a EEEE width. I wore 26.5 T2 ecos which were tight but fit. My T4s are a 27.5 and are very comfortable on my feet. Man, you are probably a very fast swimmer... (just kiddin')... You bet, over at the swimmi...

Re: Scarpa T4 sizing

So, just curious as I may invest in a pair myself at some point, can anyone offer definitive descriptions of the widths of these boots, the Excursion, T4, and Svartisen? My foot length is a 26.5 mondo, so like, 8/8.5 US or 41.5/42 EU, but I sometimes encounter issues with narrower soled shoes, like...

Re: Scarpa T4 sizing

I have had problems with T4s hurting my ankles. Then I saw a 30 second video about them from Scarpa that said they were designed to be skied with the lower buckle tight and the upper buckle loose. This seemed to solve the problem but earlier this season I must have had them too tight because the pro...

Re: What do you carry in day packs? Backcountry XCd

One thing that I added to my pack this season for emergencies is a giant Hershey chocolate bar. I had to use it last week when my wife said she felt a little "shakey." Thinking she probably needed something to eat I broke it out and it seemed to do the trick. That was one piece of my emergency kit t...

Re: Sbounds...leathers

They are probably Canadians. I've been hearing that people are having their lines poached by Mexicans but that is mostly out west. ;) There is an easy fix for this problem. If Gt sacrifices the rest of this season and maybe next season too and only skis into swamps, bogs and totally unskiable trees ...

Up until recently I haven't imbibed since the wine and cheese days of the 70s. I have seen the error of my ways. Someday I'll tell you about Mt. Jagermeister.

9.5 miles in under three hours today with a ton of turns. You don’t need a lot of snow or big mountains to have a great time. Big skis help though.

Re: Voile ski sizing for skier over 6’ and 200 pounds

I never skied the objective but I don't think it will be much faster than the HV. In some conditions it'll probably be faster. If you're wearing the same boots. At your size I don't think you will find them stiff either, anyway with all that rocker you don't really need to bend them and they turn. T...

Re: Voile ski sizing for skier over 6’ and 200 pounds

The hyper is the same ski with a lighter core, well worth the extra 100 bucks IMO. They aren't covered by Voiles warranty but can be fixed for a fee if you pull a binding. They had problems with pullouts with certain active bindings. My guess is that if you didn't pull a binding on your objectives a...
