Re: They're Back
I am suffering from analysis paralysis here in Central Oregon. I skate ski and have some old 60 mm Alpina touring skis (rarely use!) and want to get some backcountry touring skis. This is a new venture and can’t decide between the 78s or the 88s. At 140lbs before gear/pack, I think I need 179cm. I ...

Re: 2025 Tx Pro
Saw Tom M’s video of him walking on a treadmill so I jumped on the wife’s exercise bike. Walk mode was easy, ski mode a bit tougher. I've done 2 sessions on the treadmill, 4 miles in total. The first with the tags on just in case I needed to return them, but it didn't take me very long to determine...

Re: Leather 3-pin for SB112?
As of Oct 2024, the only 3 pin leathers available from REI or Backcountry.com is the Alpina Alaska 75 I missed one 75 mm boot when I searched backcountry.com this morning, the Fischer Transnordic https://www.backcountry.com/fischer-bcx-transnordic-75-waterproof-ski-boot-2022 They have a few sizes l...

Re: Leather 3-pin for SB112?
I have a trusty pair of Scarpa T-3's, but sometimes I just don't want to go plastic. Any recommendations for a burly enough leather boot? 3 pin leathers ;) . I've spent most of my skiing life in 3 pin leathers. I've tried out, worn out, blew out and thrown out many pairs, most of which are no longe...

Re: Doggy style
Very interesting. I have not seen these before. Adventure Nordic lists the weight at 1840 grams vs 2200 for the SBound 98.

Re: They're Back
REI in Santa Fe has confirmed to me that they will not carry them either...no idea if the online shops that claim an October delivery on pre-orders are legit, wish I knew where to trust. Thanks for the info on REI. Thats a bummer. I'll keep my eye on Voile's link to see if they get them in. https:/...

Re: They're Back
I had 2 versions of the Lynx. It’s a very stiff active binding. It skied great, but I had way too many problems with it. Boot Jack, claw releasing, plates cracking, and was a bit too stiff for my liking. Highly recommended the Voile Transit. Feels very similar to Switchback X2 but is way more respo...
