Re: Orthodoxy
Skied some today. When snow stopped and leaves lichen and ferns appeared skied them too. Tele was a perfect turn for those conditions. CAUSE most of the time went into the non-snow in a ride position. No turn tele. Nice! TM

Re: Sbounds...leathers
Serious hardpack so low angle and tree well avoidance is a must. Hope to get the boys on a "last cruise" and see how far in we can get on skis. Sunday. TM

Re: Sbounds...leathers
70 plus gallons, of really good syrup. Telesven, Rasta Tele and the hardest worker Jen are about done as they get the late stuff and feed it to their animals. What a treat. Still do the boiling on our wood fired evaporator. Old timers, er, always said there is a difference between Reverse osmosis an...

Re: Sbounds...leathers
Up on the hills misty clouds of fog, low visibility and quiet. Then we came and soon smoke then fire set to a 12-foot hollow tree which didn't disappoint. Raging and soon we were also. Soon everybody hitting different aspects of cloudy skiing. Couldn't see anybody but saw tracks as Teleking, Telekid...

Re: Sbounds...leathers
All thingers considered, it's really good out there. About three inches of powder on hardpack. Gotta be aware of tree wells, but skiing goes on and the quicker turning skis the better it is. Did a quick ski up on teleknob and it was good. Just meandering around and doing a turn here and there. Proba...

Re: Sbounds...leathers
Ski was different and tough yesterday. A breakable crust which didn't hold you up and dropped the skis under and into almost knee-high powder. So mostly straight shots and turn out tele. Took about three times longer to get to the top of a small knob and the same on the down. Good workout. Should ha...

About halfway there for Maple syrup. 29 gallons and very tasty darker than usual. Snow has been sliding off the roof for a bit so snow is piling up. Hope to get a quick shot up on Tele Knob and then back to boiling. TM

Re: Sbounds...leathers
78-60-70 the older model 109. My newer model with blown out Super Rottafella binding is what you wrote. Still my go to ski is the e99. 65-55-60. Love the 99, older model 109 is ok but needs to be longer. The newer 109 is a waste of money. TM

Re: Sbounds...leathers
Doh! Used some old wood putty on my newer 109's. Put red on and felt the feel of sliding with decent grip over hardpack. Twenty yards in my right ski flew forward and my ski boot once again had a three-pin binding attached to nothing. Bummer! lots of snow and visuals were beautiful. So that ended my...
