Holy sh** I am worn out tonight

Post by bauerb » Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:41 pm

Skiing Snowbird for 5 hours today. first day on the snow this year. 8,000 - 11,000 ft. I've been working out everyday on my stair master and doing plyo lunges etc....its just not enough ! since I have no chance to "ski into shape" my training plan for 2020 needs to get much more aggressive!!

I feel your pain.....actually, I feel my pain. Today was day 51 between PC, Deer Valley, and Brighton. I'm practically on an ibuprofen drip, with some nightly bourbon!

Sunday night into Monday - big storm plus a few for the week.
I wouldn't be surprised if the bird gets 4 feet this week, after Sunday.

It's a bit like Schrodinger's cat. Had you stayed, it wouldn't snow.

After 6 months of NSAIDs I found myself passed out in the shower one morning. Girlfriend carried/lifted me to the ER - a team of people came running down the hallway - I was bleeding to death. Massive GI bleed from multiple breached arteries.

They had to do "endoscopic cauterization" with a laser to seal off the arteries & save my life. It's poison! Combining with alcohol is even more dangerous. My name tells you what I'm using today instead. Here's a chance for you to learn from your elders!

also I've found that icing sore bones usually works at least as well as NSAIDs to reduce inflammation & pain. Take a plastic garbage bag & fill it with snow - works great, the snow conforms to your body part & does a great job of icing.

Are you older than 67?

I decided to get an upper endoscopy every time I get a colonoscopy....just had the process done....it's like being on a rotisserie!
All is well, thankfully, but I'd recommend both, once you get past about 60 or have any indication of GI distress.
Never drink with Tylenol, that's for sure. That'll ruin your liver.

Well, I'm glad your stomach is younger now!
I'm also glad your girlfriend was strong enough to help.
How did your wife react?
