SOLD: 2014 Icelantic Pilgrim SKNY 179

Post by syntheticreality » Sun Dec 10, 2017 5:38 pm

Hello TT members,

I have been lurking the forums now for about a year and have decided to list some of my unwanted gear. If eBay or Pinkbike (mountain bike forums) feedback and transaction history would be helpful, please feel free to let me know. For consideration in this listing is my VERY lightly used pair of 2014 Icelantic Pilgrim SKNY 179. These were drilled for Large NTN Freedom Bindings (for sale separately) set up for a 26.5 Scarpa TX Comp NTN at Alpine pin line and binding freedom inserts are still in the skis. I used these about 4 days before realizing that I don't enjoy skis this narrow under foot. The bases and top sheets are in excellent condition with no real wear--they are essentially new. Since someone has a pair listed on eBay for $175 shipped right now, I will match that price. If you'd like any further information or more pictures, please feel free to send a private message with your cell number, and I will text pictures of whatever you need.

75 is SKNY!

Where do you ski?

I am on a 90 that turns jekyl & hyde from softer snow (intended use, does great) to the more typical ice coast condition where the 90 hates me. Looking for a lift rider tele.ski that performs well in classic ice coast conditions and won't lose it's cool like SL race skis in case of a flurry.

But mostly, I'd like the ski to feel at home like I do on the polished ice where my 90s refuse to hold an edge.

I have a pair of 79s underfoot which hold an edge great! Kinda saving those for touring purposes.

These were skied on east coast ice only. They seemed pretty good to me, but they sure do hook up, which I just don't think I am ready for yet. Let me know if you're interested. I could use some garage space!

aw man I wish we'd connected. I scored a pair of kendos for ice.tele.skiing. I wish I could hook up as you say, on the ice. Hopefully the kendos will be the fix.

I can offer $125; no doubt eventually someone will find you at 175. It's just the budget limit. If this goes unanswered, it will help people step up. Cheers and happy turning.
