I'm waiting until January, then I'm going to find a pair of EZ Skins on sale and I'll test them out for all of us on the both the 88's and 98's.

Woods, do you have the new easy-skin S-bounds? good job! Would love to know how it works.

Last year I found the BD kicker skins to work well going uphill. I was able to go straight up Tuckerman Ravine Trail to Hojos all the way without slippage. as I said the metal tab did suck on the flat parts, but the half-skins were more than enough traction for moderate climbs.

LC - totally agree w/ your screed on nordic & and waxing skis. All it takes is one horrible experience on a long trip with fishscales to see the downside. Waxless can be awful in very cold fresh snow…incredibly slow. Just the conditions where wax excels. The miracle of waxless is wet spring snow, it does both grip and glide well on warm snow.

Yeah, both the EZ compatible 88 and 98. Looking forward to it, for sure.

very nice - you need some snow! Which bindings did you choose for these? The EZ-skin is good for customer loyalty, once you buy some of the brand-specific skins, they've captured you!

At least we still can swap around with different bindings systems. Remember the Salomon Pilot? Ugh.

I put on the Voile 3 pin Cable on them.

The EZ skins aren't too break-the-bank that much. At least, I wouldn't say not to Asnes because I'd have to get some Asnes skins. I'm interested to see the durability of the EZ Skin. Where are you? Close to NH?

Oh jeebus I'm such an idiot. They are nice skis! I had a brilliant day on the Sandwich Notch Rd with them last winter, right at the end. I am stoked to have them, I just had to figure out an air-channel solution there. Marine Epoxy can be your friend! Ok, sweet. We will tour, I hope. I would like to.

The air core does make incredibly light skis - I wouldn't mind trying the current E99 in 210 or the E109. They need something to screw the bindings into though. I wonder if the current E109 has air under the binding section as well.
