Spring is here with rotten snow, ice and mud. I’m looking forward to getting out in the forest doing some bushwhacking. Or have I been Land Snorkeling all these years? Quite often when I’m on a trail I’ve been on many times I’ll see see/hear something that makes me veer off trail and wander around for a while. Maybe I’ll run in to an old tree stump that catches my attention.
Or I’ll hear the creek way down below the trail, what’s down there?

I like this but have not been able to take my time as much the last few years with two small kids.
Its very relaxing to lie in the shade on a sunny day and study the blades of grass and the microscosmos living within.
