YES- it has snowed everyday for a couple of weeks now in the hills.
We had a 30cm dump last week.

Currently 30cm accumulation at my place- still snowing.

There is a metre and half of base in the Central Hills as of Tuesday afternoon- and deepening.
Soon will be able to ski over the wind-fallen trees in the woods.

Took some great photos of an EPIC 9-hour tour on the 5th- will try and get around to uploading some photos!

So far- I cannot remember a better ski season!

Skiing from my doorstep since the first week of November; endless snow; weeks and weeks of stable cold weather with daily fresh top-ups and regular storms!

I have been on nothing but Swix Polar for at least three weeks straight now- limitless, boundless fresh, cold soft snow. There is a settled/consolidated 1.5m base in the woods now- I can ski ANYWHERE and on any terrain now.

We are in the midst of a massive and very intense snowstorm as I write this- there is a good 60cm in the local forecast for this storm alone, with more in the forecast this week!!!!

I have been doing some epic, intense and grueling long tours the last few weekends- but this weekend I have stuck closer to home- skiing from my doorstep.

Went out early this morning after chores before the full force of the storm hit: Wishing you all well and much snow in the Heart of Winter!

I was out on my USGI today as well. It was my first trail skiing of the year, although I could have gone on the Green Man skis when I was north with my son Nick over Christmas. I have really been chomping at the bit to get out on the Alaska boots and NNN bindings. Well my never skied NNN mounted USGI are more rock gouged than the pair mounted 75 mm that I have been skiing for a couple of years. I am expecting just under a foot more by next weekend. At least the season has begun, and the next 10 days look promising.
Glad winter is treating you well. Let your son know if he claims your FT 62 we still expect a review!
I can't imagine being on Polar White, I thank my lucky stars when I'm on green. Of course I should have been on green today, blue was pretty sticky, however not nearly as bad as the rocks.

We got drenched in a rainstorm this week- skiing in the backcountry is dreadful at the moment
The groomed track was still pretty goood.

Conditions are excellent for sliding and skating.
I need a pair of Nordic skates.

Snow in the forecast tomorrow and thru the week!

I don't wish rain on anybody, but being well below zero degrees F (-18 C) without enough snow to trail ski and then have rain was very disheartening. To know this weird rain system effected folks enjoying a good winter, at least let me know winter wasn't just messing with me. We are expecting skiable snow by Monday here, and night time lows around 0 F should keep it fluffy.

Death crust underneath a few inches of fluff on top...Excellent XC skiing at the moment- dangerous downhill skiing until we get more fresh snow!

A solid 2 metres of consolidated base here in the Central Hills with almost daily refresh.

Came home to 40cm of fresh dry powder yesterday!
The weather is set up for several days of sun and highs of -5C!!!!
