Oh it's gonna happen. If she likes the feeling of diagonal stride, wait until she feels the skis sweeping below her - floating through some airy powder.

Based on the intel we have, Svartisen NNN would be the ideal choice. Every time we mention it I keep wondering if I could rationalize a pair for myself.

If you do decide to get one, I had great luck with Adventure Nordique in France:

If you have a supplier in Canada, better yet, but these guys were reasonable.

Cool- they have a great website- with some excellent product videos, reviews (the reviews I found on a different website for some reason), and sizing tips for each product.

Never bought from them before. Have looked at both them and telemark pyrenees.

BTW- they seem to have new Madshus XCDs in stock- none available in North America? Strange- I was beginning to fear that the Madshus/Karhu XCD was being dropped. Fischer is obviously continuing to invest in the S-Bound development (unlike Madshus)- but a little product competition is always a good thing.

I just bought a pair of Eons for my wife. I believe they are new stock (same graphics as last year) because I couldn't find any over the summer in the size I wanted.

Where did you buy them?

There is no supply in Canada yet this fall. Have had a number of people ask me where they can get a pair of Eons.

Seems to be only one size left, 185cm and they jacked up the price. I paid a little over $200 US shipped.

Seems strange to have only one size left at this time of year...

Wonder if its last year's stock?

I bought a pair of 205cm Eon-waxable about a month ago from Akers Ski. They are leftover 2012 stock. They do not have any new Madhus XCDs in stock.

Might be... but like I say, they didn't have them this summer. I kept looking every week.

They had more size last week when I bought mine, but it seems they went quick. I was going to post that link here for anyone looking but I noticed that there were no 195 or 205 after I bought mine.

Same price over at ORS for the Eons, with all the sizes, but waxless only.

When's it going to snow?
