It sounds as you can just go Rabb. Both 188 and 196 cm should work well, and it depends if you want the a slightly more fun/maneuverable ski or slightly more support. The turning radius on Rabb is actually shorter than Falketind, so a 196 Rabb should turn faster than the Falketind you borrowed. I think Åsnes' recommendations on Falketind length are a bit short and chose 180 for my 175cm length. On Rabb I might have gone either 172 or 180 cm.

If you later find that you need/want an Ingstad, it should match well with the Rabb with less overlap compared to Falketind.

Hold the show!

Asnes now has a 196 cm RABB? I see it on their website but not for sale anywhere.

I am 6'4" and 200 lbs and have the 188 Rabb. It is acceptable, but a 196 would be the sweet spot for me and I highly suggest poster go for the long Rabb. Especially after seeing his terrain. My 188 Rabbs will be for sale as soon as I find a decent deal on the 196s...

There are at least two online shops here in Norway listing it as available in 196 cm, one is in short supply while other says available. Several other shops does not list the length at all. I have no idea how many pairs are available and if more will be produced this winter or not, but I would perhaps not wait for the absolute best offer if I really wanted Rabb in 196 cm length this winter.

Edit: Axel Bruun had several Rabb 196 cm in shop, so it might be more common than I thought.

@lilcliffy
I did go with the 196. No regrets on length, the ski still turns like crazzzzyy! I had a difficult time picking between FTX and Rabb tho...

Congratulations. I do not think you could go wrong with either ski, but from what you wrote I believe you chose the right one; More float and shorter turns sounds nice. Now it is just to enjoy the outside as you seem to be doing. I got to try my Falketind 62s properly this weekend and they also performed well.
