Voile CRB brakes: Old vs New

Post by Semi » Mon Nov 06, 2023 12:50 am

Hello. I'm mounting my kid's ski with old-style Voile CRBs that came with brakes that are too narrow. The more modern (but still discontinued) Voile releasable binding brake looks a bit different, which brings me to several questions:

1) If I could find the newer Voile releasable brake in the right size [Alpine Brake Wire (75-85mm): Part No: 301-14-A UPC: 759948311418] would it fit the old binding plate shown in the pic below? link: https://www.voile.com/voile-release-bin ... -pair.html

2) Does anyone have brakes that fit the old style Voile CRB that are at least 76mm wide that they can sell me?

3) Any thoughts on attaching some sort of leash ring to one of the binding screws on the ski that would attach to the ski boot, instead of brakes?

Thanks in advance!
