Greetings from CH.

Engelberg this morning, taken from the north side of the valley. A couple of days piste bashing on nordics/leathers as my favourite nordic stomping grounds have as yet not enough snow:

Looking across the valley. The prominent "nose" (highest point on the skyline) is Titlis (Titless!!) 3239m. To the right of this, the tower on the skyline is very near the top station (3028m) of the Klein Titlis lift system:

The unmistakable Hahnen 2606m, Engelberg's "House Mountain", dominates the upper valley:

it was really strange. moving slowly in the downhill direction, there were moments when I thought I had stopped but was still moving, and turning up the fall line instead of down. a couple of times I had to firmly stop and look at a tree to verify up/down and that I was stopped. I totally understand now why pilots of small planes crash .

Poor visibility will ruin your day just as easily as poor conditions. When it's bad you could ski right off a cliff, and that's when going really slow.

So got back from skiing trails and found this in the bottom of the freezer.
Freschhhhhhhh-ETTA!
What did Abraham Lincoln say about the relationship between hunger and judgment?

"Keep Frozen"
Check.
"Cook Thoroughly"

Compared to my Karhu Kodiak Edge205's, this thing is...
Anyone want to do the math?

"Cook Thoroughly" ... they said ...
Will that make the brown pepperoni red again???

Would you touch it with a Ten Foot Pole?
Why, when your trekking/ski pole is closer?
Stuck to the pan pretty good, with what, I'll never know.

Hmm... I thought this one slice of pepperoni was lighter than the others.
Yep, it turns out it is quite translucent!

Slick roads sometimes require traction aids if you want to flex those Karhus in the morning!
(It's ok. The tires are out of warranty.)

Rabbit Ears Pass, CO trip report - partially cloudy , breezy, few days old powder, some crust lower, powder was mostly untouched even at the end of a weekend.
