October Powder

Post by Tom M » Fri Oct 25, 2019 4:33 pm

We have had an unusually cold October in Northwest Wyoming, with some snow at the higher elevations. I'm starting the winter with a new set of Alfa Skarvet Advance NNNBC boots. I'll post a mini review after I have had a chance to break them in. In the mean time, here is a quick fix for those eagerly waiting snow.

Very nice! Can't wait to start skiing soon, I got a pair of the Skarvet boots last season and they've been great so far. They look a lot more classy with red laces though... 8-)

Love the red laces and the red flag tag. My boots are still smooth and shiny. Like a pair of dance shoes that have yet to attend a party. I did have a few rub spots on my feet from my first outing, so it will take some time to break them in and figure out a sock combination that will work for me. They are definitely old school in design. I ordered them direct from Alfa and they came in 10 days from Norway to Wyoming USA. I did not have to pay any additional custom fees upon delivery, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Yeah, you guys in the US have it good with import duties. Here in Canada, we can get hit as soon as the value is beyond 20$.

Old school is the new school. Red rocks, but pink might even be better ;)

This is the sock that rules them all:

Paire with these insoles, you are in heaven:

Give 'em a try!

Cheers.
