Could some of you East Coast and Great Lakes crew send some of that fluff out here (PNW)? We're doing OK, but you guys have so much. Snomegeddon?

Only in very tiny localized areas under very specific snowbands. Like the city of Erie. You can go two miles and there's a 75% reduction in snowpack.

In the southern White Mountains of New Hampshire we have a solid 8" of gorgeous champagne on top of a 1/4" of death crust, with about 16" of nice snow locked underneath that.

Yeah- I want Finnish forest skis- always have.

AND- we have a good metre of good snow now- 2 feet of dense refrozen base- with 1 foot of cold, dry soft snow on top.
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

Well that's not a good combo. I hate re-frozen snow, no matter what lies on top. Champaign becomes just a tease. Maybe once is warms up a spell it will work some magic and unlock that layer for you folks.

Yesterday was very nice. Over a foot of very dry fluffy awesome. I skied better than I have in years, nailing some runs in perfect syncopated style. Nice compact style, some of you old tele farts would have been proud, I think.
