This has large implications for the Northeast Kingdom economy. It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Holy cow!

I am especially concerned about Burke and that fiasco over there. Burke is one of my favorite mountains in New England, a real quiet local gem with wonderful, magical skiing that has to be experienced to be believed. The tree skiing itself can be unreal. It is so deserving, and better than all this. Stupid hotel. Stupid egomaniacal hotheads ruining everything.

Ya know.....some opium loser goes into a store and demands cash from the register and the terrified clerk gives it to him....He didn't show any weapon and gets 38$ and is caught and poped into prison....Look at the pigs at the top...Jail time?......Don' count on it....From Goldman Sachs on down throw the bunch of them in the clink not a federal hotel and see how the white collar pigs handle that....Skied Burke back around 1958....Bear Den....Toll Road and Wilderness the only trails....Did NOT like the direction it was taking....Next year hope to ski up it and down as the feds figure out what to do.....And how much did the politicians in this state get????? Throw them in the clink with Clinton and the world will be a better place....TM

time to check out my idea of a hippie/squatter ski commune in the base hotel! See you all there next winter

yes Teleman, global bank HSBC laundered billions for the ruthless Sinaloa drug cartel and were not prosecuted - feds decided it would be "too harmful" to the banking system. They even installed a special teller window to fit the cases of cash through. ok, that is my token political rant for the day.
