Re: JoHnNy’s CorNeR

Ahahahahaha! So funny!! Couldn't agree more Mike! I've done this before, having a house, having to fix everything. I felt so free and happy when we finally sold it. I can't believe I did it again. What's wrong with us?!? I stopped drinking fine Scotch Whiskeys, I turned to gin, brandy and bourbon in...

The Nordic Norm (???)

So there was this 50mm (7mm thick) racing norm. And the 50mm (12mm thick) touring norm. I think there was a 38mm too at some point... And there was also the 71mm nordic norm for kids and the larger 79mm nordic norm. But what is it about the actual 75mm Nordic Norm? What about the official duckbill t...

Re: Voile 3p binding question

Yep, mine is 15-16mm too. I measured all my boots last week, and I was about to do some research on the "Nordic Norm"... I wanted to go thru all my old cross-country books but everything is still packed... And I need to fix this leaking roof...! Voile is definitely lying here... 8-) But that's the f...

Re: The rock and roll lifestyle...

Cooooooooool! Some very nice stuff here! That used to be my main obsession too... All my life, I was on a very strict diet of ramen noodles and peanut butter, so I could spend my money on gear instead... I used to be a Marshall guy. I've owned like 10+ Marshall amps... I had my share of other goodie...

Re: Snowy life

Wooooah! That snow is so.... consolidated!!

I wonder why the guy decided to film himself doing this... Do you guys in Japan watch each other removing snow from your roofs? You film yourself so you can watch it several times later? Do you find it entertaining? :D

Re: The truth about NTN: My take on it...

Hey, thanks a lot DJ! Maybe there's not much opposition because this IS the NTN truth...? 8-) please consider upgrading/replacing your aging tele gear to help keep innovation alive in this great sport. You know what? This is a very important and interesting point. I've been thinking a lot about that...

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread

No no no! The Svartisen are totally legit. That's what they mean about "support". The plastic doesn't envelop your feet completely like a plastic boot. Every part of your feet/leg can still move freely. Your tibia doesn't rely on the boot's tongue for support, so thank god, you're still a XCD skier!...

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread

Raventele, The World XCD Council position about skis is stated very clearly. They are very strict when it comes to boots, but they don't care much skis. If you have XC boots, you can ski whatever you want and legitimately call it XCD as long as the tip width is under 110mm. (Which means 109mm and be...

Re: JoHnNy’s CorNeR

So what's up Johnny? Well, after living in our van for a few months with nothing but a mattress and a cooler, the next logical step for us was obviously to buy a century-old 3 story castle. The ski season is coming soon so I had to be ready... Ahhh...! The joy of a nice fireplace... There's nothing ...
