Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system
telerat Thanks for linking to those very interesting, technical and passionate reviews from Sir Gamme! To be honest, I was surprised by his reviews. This was my favourite part: "The shoe (Alfa Free) is thus a usable rival to the BC shoes, and scores usably in this class. After practical testing and...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system
I am hoping to replace my 75 mm boot (Asolo Morgedal) and binding (Rottefella 75mm cable) on my Fischer E109 which I use for mountain skiing, both up, down and flat. The binding is too much for the boot and the boot is too soft for E109. I am not sure if I understand you here telerat... Why do you ...

Re: Ski recommendations for a pulk hauling heavy Finn
Thinking about my own experience hauling a heavy pull in northern Norway, I would not leave home without a full length ski for those occasional steep climbs.

Re: 2019 ALFA Guard Advance GTX M Boots Review
I just received the pair of EU46 Alfa Guard Advance GTX boots that I ordered online from Varuste. As many people have said, Alfa's conversion between US and EU sizes is WILDLY incorrect. Read the fit guide, measure your feet and go by that. I am a US size 11 1/2, and measured my feet at a little ov...

Re: Morrow liners in Excursions? Anyone tried 'em?
I have a size US42 foot at 263mm. The Morrow liner I have is I believe a size 27 (so probably a US9?) and its actually a tad small for me after thermolding. Perhaps the 28 would suit me better, but I never bothered ordering it. These are fine liners for 2 clip boots and the price is right. It might ...

Re: Ski recommendations for a pulk hauling heavy Finn
And remember to get some climbing skins! Mohair gives better glide. I hope experienced pulkers @bgregoire can chime in for this, but instinctively If I were to take only one, it would be Mohair 45mm for with a pulk. As a second option a full length skin when the snow gets deep. and as a third, a 30...

Re: Morrow liners in Excursions? Anyone tried 'em?
Answer to my own question: found 'em on Ebay, in 8 or 10 only. Not so sure about stuffing the 10's into my 27 Excursions; I'm a 9.5. Which leads me to the temptation of springing for the Pro Tours, encouraged by BGregoire's glowing recommendations of that liner. As much as I like the pro tour, I'd ...
