Re: Rossignol BC90/110

Telekid and Teleking like them and they ski well in the bush....Think they have the 189 version and except for the lightest and deepest they ski well on just about anything....TM

Re: hemiboreal forest skiing in New Brunswick Canada

Thinking go with the wax pocket....In these conditions below zero skiing the snow will be slow to begin with...Have had no problems with polar and green for breaking and the skis have been ok as far as cruising...But the crust is the biggest factor...If you don't have serious tips and length or way ...

Re: Help Me Choose: Burly Leather Boots vs. Soft Plastic Boots

^^^^^ agree with that! Had some Andrews North Rims and they were the bomb but those too were destroyed as are most things I ski...However @ 600 days on them they SHOULD have been destroyed....Telekid still is using his for downhill...and they are in good shape....Mine have been resoled poorly and ar...

Re: the magic and power of grip wax

With this cold polar and a light green has been excellent....Polar mostly and those 215 e99's have been a total trail breaking machine with the length and double camber netting great results....The crust however @ three inches under the light powder is tough when on the down...But high tips laugh at...

Couple of thingers here boys....Ski area tele and bush tele are different paradigms.....Modern equipment and olde tyme tele are different worlds....Sometime while in the gonz and heading them down see how the thing kinda works...Fore ski breaks and forms a trough or in nautical forms a wake....Insid...

Re: Help Me Choose: Burly Leather Boots vs. Soft Plastic Boots

The more the leather works toward soft flexible the better....Take what are they Asolo Extremes....They are injected with something for stiffness but where it counts its leather....And having that super flexible is great....Understand most people want it stiff but there are those who like the boot a...

Re: Rossignol BC90/110

LC the rebound was 88-60-78....The Outtabounds was 88-68-78....Rebound was a softer turn machine while the Outta was stiffer and when in natural dips in the bush would not ride up the far side leading to superman dives...Those went to Telekid...I kept the softer come up and out of dips rebound for m...

Re: Rossignol BC90/110

Think you are right the same factory....Rebounds were made there I think then got the same saloman something but it was the Rebound in a different top color....(cheaper too)...Teleking and Telekid use them and ski them well...189 I think...I got them and gave them to the Kid because they were so sim...

Re: and now....the rain

I know it sounds kinda counter intuitive....but....On one mountain range there was no base....On another there is about 2 and a half inches of crusty ice....On top up in the Highlands the total is @ 14-18 inches of sweet ride the bottoms flat powder....Don't hit much up there but the former is all r...
