Get it while you can! Weather report says 3-inches rain Monday. I too would like to see more photos. Perhaps you can learn to use your iphone camera, and T-king or -kid can show you how to upload (and blur the faces).

I have been using long (3.5-4-ft) fiberglass poles for decades in backwoods telemarking. With appropriate large baskets, they are indispensable for climbing 20-30 degree slopes in 2-3 feet of powder. Puma range is a lot more than 50 miles. Remember a few years ago one was documented walking from South Dakota to Connecticut (where it got run over by a car).

I should let greatgt respond himself, but… have watched him for decades, his style is more likely to be long sweeping arcs.
Also, with even back/front weighting, the wax pocket does not slow you down significantly, in my limited experience, on virgin powder (where I prefer to ski).
