Re: NNN-BC Tele Technique

To me, it looks like there are really just driving their knee into the dirt and not worrying about keeping the rear foot pressured. I supposed if you just wrench that boot forward it's going to drive pressure into the tip of the ski no matter what, and probably make the tail skid around easier. Gre...

Re: Vector BC eludes my thinking

Where I find the waxless traction of even a ski as wide as the Vector/Kom to breakdown is when the snow is REALLY cold and dry. This is the domain where grip wax out performs everything (at least in a K&G and low-angle climbing context)...conditions where the waxless traction isn't effective. These...

Re: Vector BC eludes my thinking

IMO, one of the best things about the Vector BCs is the lack of needing to fiddle-fart with wax, kicker skins, and most of the time, I don't really even need skins. The scales are that good. These are BC skis for soft snow and in those conditions, I hardly notice the drag of the scales. I was out br...

Re: How much does your xcd rig weigh?

for years. I had sort of missed the giant heavy telemark thing, I knew about it but hadnt actually handled the gear. I ordered the T4s from MEC and they say on their website "These are reminiscent of old leather boots, in that they're flexible, light..." - I was stunned they seemed like downhill bo...

Re: How much does your xcd rig weigh?

Snicker connie....if you only knew.....Figure you will never know not knowing....nothing....Have fun skiing on the UP as that's where Boots comes from.....Thought it was all cc skiing up there....TM It's "skiing IN the UP" not "on the UP". And shame on "Boots" for not knowing about the Porkies, Kew...

Re: Vector BC eludes my thinking

SKI OFF!!! I want to see this. I'll design the course, obstacles, and timing rules (penalties). You guys do the SKI OFF!!! and I'll judge. Then, we all get beers and chill out. Let's skip the first part and just do the second part (beers and chill). Was out on Vector BCs/Excursions yesterday with f...

Re: Vector BC eludes my thinking

Let's cut the online ski competition bullshit. If you boys want to have a ski off, get together and do it. But why? What does it prove? LOL. A ski-off! Naw, it's not about that for me. I don't like old gramps' condescension. Pure and simple. And I am apparently too immature to avoid stooping to his...

Re: How much does your xcd rig weigh?

Obviously one has to "break in" one's boots.....Once done on anybody's scale leather is better than bulk plastic....Say what you wish connie-man....but not recognizing reality is kinda stupit....TM Wow, you are a real gem TM! "Don't waste your time on comfort" is "stupit". I think you're just upset...

Re: Vector BC eludes my thinking

Thanks for the first-hand account TM! Glad you've been out on them and actually skied on the Vectors so we can be blessed with your informed 'opinion'. ;) Maybe your boy on the Vectors is poor skier? Also, you claim the Vectors can't go straight downhill because of the sidecut? Wow! I've never heard...
