Re: BMF vs Outlaw X

Have not skied the BMF nor seen them yet in action so can't answer your question. They look very interesting. Can't wait to try them. Step-in with brakes-- be aware that the OutlawX brakes aren't really worked out yet. It has true step-in without breaks but I haven't found anyone yet who has worked ...

Re: I hate my bindings

...Rocker launch is when you can't get the heel down WITH weight on it, and I doubt you would be able to make P turns too good either... Two ways I've fixed rocker launch is with the Voile wedge under Riva IIs and with the Voile VP-II binding, no longer made. The VP-II has a nice up-ramp shape unde...

Re: 22designs Lynx TTS/NTN

Can anyone tell how the step in works for the second heel? How does that metal fitting move forward to grab the NTN second heel when you step in?

Second heel aside, let's not forget one of our own TTalk members did carbon leaf springs for tele-tech first: Telemo!

Asolo Telebreeze: did anybody ski a pair? review?

These popped up on eBay. Not my size and no use for them myself but I had always wondered what they ski like, and what it would be like to tele without being the forefoot. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASOLO-3-Pin-75-mm-TELEMARK-Ski-BOOTS-25-Mens-sz-6-5-Women-7-5-Nordic-TELEMARKING/382320076073?ssPageNam...

...I don't know about the app, but that was a terrible article about cross country skiing in general. Who would ever start xc skiing after reading it? Re: Chord Center mounting- does it make any sense?

Teleclub- your post was a work of art man. Greatly appreciate this. Thanks, my pleasure. ...I was quite surprised that balance point was what seemed rearward to me, but in realty was chord center, and 2 mm in front of chord center on the other ski. The point I am making is that rocker does change h...

...edited to add that i second the notion that waxing effectively is pretty easy after all, and fun! but when you are a science nerd like me you end up walking out the sto' with every frickin wax possible cause you know that one degree makes a difference... I know what you mean. I benefitted by the...

Re: the magic and power of grip wax

I had some old Fischer Boundless Wax that I did kick wax tip to tail on. It was amazing in the right (colder) snow. You could walk straight up hill and then kick and glide like a mofo. I was faster on the classic track than most on their long thins. They just hooked and then glided so well. Very co...

Re: and now....the rain

Bike rides in sunny warm conditions four days in a row. Never have sunny warm conditions been so depressing :?
We keep looking for skiable snow in the high canyons. Packed snow available at the resorts in relatively poor conditions but thin cover and nothing skiable in the woods. :(
