Re: Update from the XCD Knights
I'm not sure where the fury is coming from, we just want to go sliding on snow and have fun! We are free to use whatever we want. The fury? Perhaps its just that. Most of us cannot go out and ski right now given the current climatic conditions. We're like little kids whose toys have been taken away...

Re: OAC XCD Skis
His idea was to remove a portion of P-Tex and glue the skin to the ski core, to make sure it will stick in there and to make the skin just a bit higher than the ski base... By the way, this is not a new idea, I have seen several pairs of used XC skis made this way. They have two 1cm wide strips of ...

Re: Anti-Ice Buildup Options for Bindings
No but seriously, have you tried Voil Anti-Ice tape? They work well.

Tuct tape might do as well, have not tried it myself.

Actually, my real idea was to make removable strips of fishscale P-Tex... So you can turn any ski into a waxless one, and turn it back to normal by putting back a strip of flat p-tex...
Everything is evolving... Ideas, ideas and ideas...
Now that's a terribly smart idea!

Re: Fischer E-109 vs. Asnes Ingstad
Thanks. I got them in 200 cm, which is what Asnes recommends for my weight (195 lbs) and it was all I could find. I do think that 210s may have been too much ski for me - wish they made 205... Asnes says either NNN BC or 75 for the Ingstad, and Fischer recommends NNN BC for their e109, which seems ...

Re: Update from the XCD Knights
Johnny, I think one of the best things that could be done to prepare the masses for a new XCD Knights ruling would be a few videos of yourself showing off the merits of NNN-BC fatties on the down, at the very leastm, with your 10th mountains or Skogs? Yes, our good japanese pal has done it many time...

Re: Karhu Borealis
After a quick exploration, it appears Karhu might not have switched from SNS-ADV to NNN-BC(as many others such as Fischer) before it gave up on Nordic Backcountry ski boots altogether.
