Re: RavenTele / Ron

I can ski better than 98 % of the people out there and I am now 55. Chances are I ski far better than you. The best skiers I know rarely toot their own horns. What does your bragging have to do with anything? conny , you are sort of right . I think it's not attractive to be arrogant. I am still ver...

Re: Rossignol BC 65/nnn-bc

I don't have any complaints about the 'lack of grip' of the Rossi scale pattern. My ski buddy on the Fischer Spiders gets about the same grip as I do on my Rossis. Sometimes I think I might have better grip that he does in certain situations. I think that a lot of it has to do with snow conditions a...

Re: RavenTele / Ron

There's no such thing as mediocre skiers or good skiers. Only people having fun playing outside. Even as a "Certified" telemark instructor (Wouh! Who cares?!?), I never judge a skier by his angulation, the symmetry of his skis or the height of his arms, but rather by his capacity of having fun and ...

Re: narrow double-cambered off-trail xcountry ski

No offense to the spider 62, I'm sure it's a fine ski - but I think they are marketing those skis a certain way to a certain person: I watched this video on their page a while back because I was talking to someone about these skis, and compacts in general: http://www.fischersports.com/en/Nordic/Off...

Re: narrow double-cambered off-trail xcountry ski

For my newest addition to my "quiver" I am looking for a traditional, narrow, double-cambered xcountry ski (waxable). The use is speed/glide-orientated, off-trail xcountry skiing, on gentle terrain- on dense and/or hard snow (I have wider skis for soft powder). I keep getting drawn to the Madshus G...

Re: Coolest of the cool

Does anyone remember the old dual t-bars that took you to the summit of Cannon mountain? Those things were more of a challenge to ride up on than the ski down was!

.....Places like these need all kinds of thinking and all kinds of ideas....so let the fun begin....again...TM I agree with you Teleman. Good point. All kinds of ideas and thinking is great, so why do you think it's OK for Ron to stifle everyone else's (besides your) ideas, thoughts or advice with ...

Rossignol BC 65/nnn-bc

My deal: I started out looking for more of a burly XC ski to fill a void in my XCD quiver: something that I could take to groomed XC tracks as well as packed snowshoe/snowmobile trails. I wanted something that excelled at kick and glide but could also handle rough snow and breaking trail. After much...
