Re: Length for old e99s

Theyre about an inch behind the balance point. I don't know much but that doesn't seem like a lot. I don't know much either! Nordic racers sometimes mount behind balance point, but for all-around XC use balance point is the standard, definitely for touring skis. One inch back won't do that mu...

Re: What ski would you use?

is this multiple choice - what are your options? Can you just point 'em down the hills or do you need to make turns?

the biggest question for me would be, is the track packed out or not? If you're the breaking trail you'd have to go with something wider.

Re: Time Travel

The largest and oldest trees were affected the most, not uprooted, mostly the trunks were broken off 5-10 feet above the ...

Re: Fischer E-109 vs. Asnes Ingstad

at the risk of starting a massive flame-fest - why are these pretty girls offensive? Women don't seem to complain at the litany of naked female bodies in fashion ads, or cosmetics ads, ads for yoga apparel, etc. So maybe they should start some advocacy aimed at the exploitive beauty industry rather ...

Re: Prepping new wax skis

great discussion. Sometimes I do find it necessary to remove all the grip wax and start over clean. Last week I needed more grip and piled on Blue Extra when I should have used a layer of Violet Special (28 degree compacted snow). Now there's just too much grip wax on, the glide sucks, probably beca...

Re: Fischer E-109 vs. Asnes Ingstad

LaCordee doesn't carry the Cecelie skis. A major faux pas! so, with the Canadian Dollar being .7 US dollars, the Asnes skis are currently cheaper for Americans to buy in Montreal than from Neptune. Looks like all the good lengths are gone though, they need to order more next year. btw Mike, if you'...
