Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system
You comes across overly defensive Christer, so I have cut out that parts; Just state the facts and people will form their own opinion, often regardless of what else you say. With all due respect bro, this is a forum, we are here to chat, if we all start censuring ourselves and attain the summit of ...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system
Did Pål Trygve mention in his article he was testing a prototype and that the official version might actually be different (hopefully improved)? I totally agree with Rod and J about freedom of speech and opinion. Absolutely. But I also think any decent review should precisely describe the item teste...

Re: Repair advice
Personally, I too would just leave it alone. Epoxy. I have used quite a bit of it to "repair" plastics (i'm a whitewater canoe guy), including JBWeld and GFlex. Epoxy it great stuff but its not structural, it wont hold up as well as the plastic bit would already lost. One needs to add a structural c...

Re: Rottefella 3pin repeatedly breaking
I've never heard of this binding breaking like that. It happening repeatedly to you makes it sounds, unfortunately, like its something you are doing. If you want to stick with plastic boots, go with the voile 3-pin mountaineer or cable. It has been redesigned over the years specifically for plastic ...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system
Gamme stated that the boot is more important than the binding for DH control and I still believe it is true, especially sole stiffness. What about an Alpina Alaska with a kind of articulated/removable collar for additional stiffness on steep DH? I think that is true but only to a certain extent (ev...

Re: Rottefella BC Flex 60SH
If you search for "red flexor" on this site, it will come up.
Its often used on ice skates in Sweden.
There is (or was) a harder "white flexor" too. I have a pair. Its so damn hard I could not believe I could actually squeeze it into the binding so it remains untested on my side.

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding system
@telerat @bgregoire I guess that I assumed the Varg Morgedal and the Asolo Morgedal were the same boot- My Varg Morgedal boots have a very stiff stable sole- stiffer than my Asolo Extreme- certainly more than stable enough for my E109- they are more than enough for my Storetind as well- same boot a...

Re: Boot maintenance question
Wow. I'm not impressed with the durability of that rand. Is it leather or synthetic leather? I assumed it would oh been made out of something more durable (like rubber). On the rand, those look like crease marks from bending the boot as you ski. Those straight marks on the leather might be from the ...
