Re: Looking for an inbounds ripping ski high 90s waist

So let's change the parameters, what's a softer, but not noodley 105ish waisted ski? I love my M Cross 88's, which have a tail flat enough that I get a bit concerned skiing switch except on groomers. But they have a crazy tight turn radius and are too narrow. Edit: At DV right now. 4Frnt Kye 110 ha...

Re: Looking for an inbounds ripping ski high 90s waist

So let's change the parameters, what's a softer, but not noodley 105ish waisted ski? Don’t you have a RS 106? No Too stiff anyway. Stiffer than the 96! I have a Nomad 105 and that's a great powder ski but I get hung up on the big twin in steep terrain when I've really got a knee down and my ass in ...

Re: Looking for an inbounds ripping ski high 90s waist

You know the more I think about it the more redundant the high 90 waist is If I'm happy 80% of the time on my 88-90mm waist I should make the jump to 105. The issue is getting a soft flexing enough ski. I'm still pretty light, 170lbs and the mid 100 waisted skis can get pretty stiff. I'm ok on the K...

Re: Looking for an inbounds ripping ski high 90s waist

Dostie has been not-so-subtly hinting that it's more stiff than the current TXP, not less, especially the bellows. I'm not a heavy guy, the TXP is my limit as it stands. I'm VERY excited about the extra offered length of 30.5/31.0, I'll be able to hopefully be more inline with the BoF like my T2's. ...

Re: Looking for an inbounds ripping ski high 90s waist

Yeah, I'm not a comp guy but I am a TX Pro guy and I definitely bought a back-up pair in case the new one is shit.
I passed on a pair of TX's last year and I'm beating myself silly for not picking them up. Not making that mistake again. Just filling the house with boots.

Re: Looking for an inbounds ripping ski high 90s waist

Yes, I was on the Ripstick. It's a great ski, especially for telemark. I like the wide shovel in proportion to the tail, and the energy it had. I found the shovel to be a little hooky on the backside of bumps. I mounted it -3 from the designated BC mark for my 30.0mondo boot and it's perfect there. ...

Looking for an inbounds ripping ski high 90s waist

Feeling pretty defeated by the offering of skis out there. I'm far too finicky. I'm looking for a 185cm mid to high 90's ski with a flat-ish tail, rocker up front, and some metal running in the ski. A 15-20mm difference between shovel and tail would be also be a good thing to have. Right now I'm run...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

This is me with my Ingstads back in December boulder-hopping across a decidedly unfrozen river with 2' of snow at night in single digit temps. Just the best kind of tour!
