Re: When do people find time to ski??

Amen. It all happens in a moment beyond time anyway. I can recall single turns from years ago as though they happen now. Requoted for truth! Man-- 1996... north face of some slope somewhere, when I first learned to ski real deep powder on skinny 203cm Authier slalom skis, and it all clicked in my b...

Re: When do people find time to ski??

Those are the kinds of stats that might make me cringe. Like tracking how much time I spend at red lights, or in lines at the grocery store.

Re: Ski Review: 2018-2019 Åsnes Ingstad BC

Midweek morning, bruh. :D

I just played the movie really slow and I cross my tips during that speed wobble, the giant Ingstad rocker overlaps my other ski. I didn't even realize at the time. Check it out! Man, even closer to wiping out than I thought!

Re: When do people find time to ski??

In college + 3 years after, (Bozeman Montana) I skied like crazy. Then I went into the Navy (no good skiing on aircraft carriers, as it turns out, but the flying! Holy shit, it's good!) and only got in 5 or 6 days a year, if I was lucky and always thought it was worth it. So I can definitely empath...

Re: Ski Review 2018-19 Asnes Nansen versus Fischer E109 Crown Xtralite

This thread is really fantastic with solid info on two popular but harder to get (as in physically handle in a shop). I certainly appreciate all the typing! I skied Fischer E109 Crown Xtralite 205cm until they broke last year. Can you tell us how your E109 broke? I don't believe that the 109 Crown e...

Re: Leather Ski Boots & Light Telemark Boots

I've played with switching liners a bit. One complication: my foot is narrow and thin so I need to add boot fitting foam to make the Excursions fit. I have T4's and a pretty skinny ankle and beginning of foot with a normal fore-foot. The T4's fit great, no heel lift. Excursions fit me weird and loo...

Re: Boot Review: Crispi Lofoten 75

Woods my brother, you are killing me! The Alaska 75 is not on my radar. I read reports of duckbill failure. I ski an Alaska BC, it’s a great boot and system. However for me I think the limit is skinnier skis. Bottom line my life is good, two systems for different skis. ..., but what about my skis t...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

Thank you for this. Nice to see some dust at least on top of what little base we have here in New England. Nothing in the middle of New Hampshire.

Some great pics on this thread! Woot Snowbird! Alaska! Hell yeah!
