Re: Where did you mount your bindings on your Fischer 78s?
Seems like balance point is consensus. Woods: I like the idea of mounting them slightly back from balance point as I would like to maximize glide. Turning is not my goal with this setup but hopefully always an option. I still have time to finalize the mounting location so I'll mull the pros and cons...

Where did you mount your bindings on your Fischer 78s?
So where did you mount them? The 78s don't seem to have any markings and the Fischer site offers nothing that's obvious. So I turn to the collective knowledge of ttalk. Pin line on balance point or chord center? Somewhere else? I'll be using the 78s for touring and some turns in soft conditions. NNN...

Re: Should I avoid 3-pin bindings with wire bails?
I agree with canna. I would also go with new ones at that price. Those old wire bale 3-pins may not accommodate the thicker sole leather boots. Not to mention what bauerb said about the bindings self-destruction when too much force is applied.

Re: Sbounds...leathers
Fischer e99's are a great ski.....Believe me....have broken so many sets....Not the ski's fault!!!!!!! Sorry folks but I can't just let this fool spout his nonsense without responding. Yes, I'm immature and also have a bad attitude. TM: If you are breaking the same tool over and over, maybe you are...

Re: Voile Objectivés and 75 mm bindings
Traverse would be my choice too. As indicated above by others, and based on my experience, leathers won't work real great in the Switchbacks. Also Switchbacks may be overkill for the Objectives IMO.

Re: XCD - the past and future of skiing?
More and more pricks in the BC. Probably for a variety of reasons like big fat easy gear, the cost of lift serve, and the mind cleanse of being in nature. Used to have the BC all to ourselves. Now people following our beatifically broken trail poaching our goods, post holing our trail and such. Kin...

Free the heel free the mind....orange hair will do just fine....TM Hey teleracist, you must be disappointed that your local hate rally in NH was called off due to "bad weather" (even though it was sunny and nice). Yeah it was canceled because your racist piece of crap leader couldn't muster a crowd...

Re: 4th
Really, did you just read his post and envision the situations the man was in? It doesn't sound to me like he "enjoyed" that context, he was just reflecting on how nice it was to get along nowadays, by contrasting the shitty times for everyone in Detroit in the past, with now: I know I and the blac...

Re: 4th
Fish, I lived and worked in Detroit for years. I am not a racist so I was treated with common respect by the locals black or white. Hate is a by-product of racism and taking advantage of the less fortunate. Your boy teleman is a racist and a phony. He is the problem. I don't think he deserves anythi...
