For example- Asnes' current Telemark binding mounting recommendations for their downhill skis is to mount at BP.

Re: Åsnes Borge Ousland BC Ski Review

Awesome skis... Much faster than the Ingstad... More versatile and smoother than the Gamme... Who else got a pair?
I know a few of you guys bought them this season... What do you think about the Ousland so far?

Re: New Asnes WL Waxless Skis 2018-2019 Ingstad WL & Nansen WL

I gave my smooth Ingstads to Lilcliffy two years ago... I stick to the WL ones now and couldn't be happier...
The Magik Å pattern is amazing, perfect grip and glide even on cold snow... Happiness is a pair of waxless Asnes skis...

Re: Asnes Ingstad BC 2018 Ski Review

Perfect on the downhill side, perfect on the flats, perfect for long walks in the wood... Ok ok, today was my first time taking Helge w...

Re: Åsnes Borge Ousland BC Ski Review

Any weight/length recommendations published yet? You can check the recs on the NO site: https://www.asnes.com/produkt/borge-ousland-bc/ So could these be considered "the ultimate" do all backcountry ski?? I would not call it the ultimate "Backcountry" ski... At least for me, the word backcountry in...

Re: BC vs BCX and other questions

I dont recall anyone choosing to place a binding forward of balance point. that would be my personal forward limit. I do. Not all the time but yes, I sometimes do, for several different reasons depending on the ski itself. Going for BP is quite simple... It works for most people, but modern skis ar...

Re: Åsnes Borge Ousland BC Ski Review

I wonder if this is the perfect Jura ski, a place that has now been largely tamed by extensive groomed networks, but still has areas of beautiful XCD skiing, right off the trails, or making some connections between XC areas. Fit in the tracks, put down miles, stiff enough to support wearing a pack,...

Re: Åsnes Borge Ousland BC Ski Review

I purposely try to avoid writing endless novels trying to describe torsional rigidity, flex and camber. Trying to narrow down a ski to one single particular use is pointless. We are all different skiers with different views on what is soft, what is stiff, what is the particular use of a particular s...
