Re: Nnnbc magnum bindings on wide skis???

I don't know if we can extrapolate from this: We cannot. You are comparing cross-country boots and bindings with buckled plastic tele boots and cable bindings... Two different things, two different sports, two different skiing techniques... :D I sure can see something very clear on that picture of ...

Re: Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN

I used them only twice on the MR48S... It was about -10c outside and I was climbing uphill with a 50lbs pulk so a lot of traction was involved... Well, it seems like I was wrong... I just didn't notice back then... As you can see, there was some yellow leftovers on the skins... But nothing serious r...

Re: The new Meidjo 3 from M Equipment

Yep, I guess that's the price to pay to see what's underneath the flextor... Or I should say, what is not there... Well, the touring pin is still there so there must be a redesigned red stick somewhere... 8-) I'm super excited about this... Just as much excited as I was when 7TM first announced the ...

The new Meidjo 3 from M Equipment

So the new Meidjo 3 was unveiled at ISPO a few days ago... 40% more power, easier step-in, same hole pattern and upgradable from version 2... Absolutely beautiful. Just WOW... What do you think?

Re: 22D Lynx inbounds?

"Up to you to decide if the 100$ premium on the Lynx is worth the 1lb difference..." Well, that would only hurt once, right?? Yep, only once... If they don't break of course, because they can handle only 10-20% of frontside skiing... ;) Wise choice, get the perfect boots first, then pick the bindin...

Re: Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN

Maybe I should check my X-skins after all... Maybe I was just too dumb to notice in the woods... I'll take a look to be sure... I used solid Holmenkol glide wax on the MR48S... Ironed-on of course but I also remember crayoning the skins with the wax block... Perhaps that was enough to prevent the X-...

Re: 22D Lynx inbounds?

If you really want to stick to 22D, why not go for the Outlaw? It's heavier and beefier than the Lynx, so in theory it should be more heavy-duty and more resistant to in-bounds pressure and stress... Up to you to decide if the 100$ premium on the Lynx is worth the 1lb difference... I am putting the ...

Re: Asnes Falketind 62 versus Rabb 68

Notice that there is no "New" mention on the Norwegian website... ;)

The 2019-2020 FT62 is a redesign of the older white/red FT62... And the "new" 2018-2019-2020 Rabbs are the new updated Falketind 68s... Which were themselves updated versions of the more cambered Storetind 68...

Re: Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN

Interesting... I remember wondering about this when I first got the MR48s and notice the inserts... I did use X-Skins over the integrated ones a few times last season when using a pulk sled... No problem at all on my side, it sticked perfectly to the ski, and not a single hair pulled off the skins.....
