Re: Books books books!

Just a few words to say that I just finished that small Cross-Country ski, cook, look and pleasure book I mentioned before... I can't help telling you how great it is. Without a doubt the best (and funniest!) ski book I ever read... It will definitely make you wanna move to Vermont or Montana, build...

Re: THE GREATEST bindings debate on the planet (Official thr

Alaskas are great with fishscales... I use them 90% of the time with waxless Guides and Epochs in the woods. And sometimes when I ski with my 4 year old ski buddy (read: skiing below 60mph), I bring them on the groomers with my Tua Nitrogens, with or with cables... Steeps, bumps, whatever, they can ...

Sochi Olympics

I've been living without TV and phone for two decades, (Oh I know, I must have missed a lot of *very* interesting stuff...) but there's one thing I really miss and it's watching the winter games. Does anyone know if it's possible to watch it live somewhere? I don't mind if it's in Russian or Spanish...

I think some old Birkenstock sandals bolted to a Fischer E109 would make a good "Krautenski" setup. HOLY SHIT!!! I FREAKING **NEED** to do that!!! Oh just you wait guys... You will definitely see me with this setup before the end of the season... Flying naked under the busiest chairlift, cigar in m...

Re: The Ski Lite / XCD thread

Yeah you guys received like 4-5 more inches then what we got here.. Not only Vermont is the only state in the US where it's legal to be naked in public, you also always get more snow, even if you're just a few miles south... We need to wait for the snow to consolidate a bit here... No way to avoid t...

Re: How to tell if you need new skis

I never bought a pair of 'brand new' skis in my entire life. Who would be stupid enough to pay 700$ for a pair of planks? I buy like 8-10 pairs every year, but always on the used market... (Well, to be honest, I bought my first ever pair of NEW skis earlier this season, because the Epochs are *impos...

Re: The Ski Lite / XCD thread

Yeah!! Keep those XCD pics coming!

I don't know a lot about the S-Bounds, except that they have been on my "TO BUY" list for about 5 years now... 8-)

They must be killer skis, since just like Guides and 10th Mtns, they are really hard to find used...

I like debates... :D
I predict that in twenty years, we will still be debating over the exact same things... (Which is fun...!)
The fact is, modern gear has made us a bunch of wimps by comparison.
Except for us, pinheads from hell... 8-)
