Re: La Cordée

I don't follow all the dynamics here. Here's my best presumption. Someone please correct me. La Cordee has MEC, among other accounts, on the books for mucho money for Accounts Payable. Creditors ( incl. MEC) will get pennies on the dollar after La Cordee bankruptcy proceedings are finalized. Is thi...

Re: FT 62

While I agree that the track groove on the FT62 facilitates XC tracking- I struggle to find the "Classic Nordic XC Camber" in the FT62... Although it has been observed that there is some tension underfoot- the FT62 has a pretty round flex (much rounder than the Ingstad BC for example)- perhaps not ...

Sorry J changed the Topic name, I was hoping it would make you smile.

To be honest, I think it would be interesting to have a nuanced discussion about global capitalism, local economy, etc.

Re: FT 62

Guys, if you want to talk about La Cordée, why not do it here:

It might not be useful to mix a hot topic like that with Rod's pacifist internal debate about the FT62!

La Cordée

I created this thread to redirect the conversation about LaCordée away from Rodbelan's thread. He's a sweet guy and cannot take much bad vibes before turning green and falling to the floor. I found this article that provides a little more info about what LaCordée has been up to. Perhaps it might be ...

Re: Ski to fill the Gap

@Stephen. Lilcliffy is a cool kid on the block but still I suggest you get the person's consent before posting private e-mails or messages on this board. You might have done so already which would be great, but just in case, play safe! be well.

Re: How would you repair a cracked duckbill 50 miles into the wilderness?

I’ve had bad experiences with slush freezing around the toe bar. Slush is a big problem beneath the snow on most lakes in mid-winter on the Canadian Shield. It hasn’t been a problem with pin holes, especially with anti-ice tape. This is a good point trite . The NNN BC (or any system binding really)...

Re: How would you repair a cracked duckbill 50 miles into the wilderness?

@lowangle al I agree, but let us know if you have any input on robust field repairs as new boots fail on expedition too. I never thought about it, but here is an idea. Take a piece of plastic about 75mm wide and at least as long as your boot. Predrill one end to match the screw hole pattern of your...
