Re: Cheap resort/hardpack setup.

Would you accept cash instead of skis? That was actually what I meant because I didn't figure you'd be interested in the E99s I have. Perhaps that can help buy you a pair of E109s. I'm interested in the E99s if you are looking to move them. Shoot me a number. We could always work something out in t...

Re: Cheap resort/hardpack setup.

Hey MikeK, Glad you like! Just got back from a 3 hour ski run on my fisher country crowns. Gotta say they are really fun (but wish they were waxable). Manage to do some nice parrallel turns rushing down hardpacked trails. Nice and light. Sorry but a E99 to E99 trade just wouldn't cut it. Anyhow, I d...

Re: Cheap resort/hardpack setup.

What's your 3p XC quiver? The Alaskas are really fun on the frontside...! 8-) Only interested in my 3p quiver? That's a shame, I had assumed CIMA managed to get you more psyched about NNN BC. :) Leaving aside my pure XC classic and skate skis and the pretty woodies, from less wide to widest: -Fisch...

Re: narrow double-cambered off-trail xcountry ski

i had a good look at the new Xtralite E109s at the shop and even did get to try a friend's pair on the other day. Double camber or not, I agree with Teleman, they are definitely not as cambered as the E99. So much so, that I would take the E99 any day on the flats. The E109s are going to be better o...

Re: narrow double-cambered off-trail xcountry ski

You might want to have a look at the little Offtrack Cruising promo video on the fisher website to give you an idea of who they produced this ski for: http://www.fischersports.com/en/Nordic/Products/Skis/Offtrack-Cruising/6006-Spider-62 :D I'm also big on the XCd, I would definitely suggest going fo...

Re: Cheap resort/hardpack setup.

THanks to both of you, unfortunately, I do not anything close to a used ski shop around. I will keep a look out though. Buying skis on ebay is also pretty much out of the question as shipping from the US gets really complicated with skis. How fat should this type of ski be at the shovel?

Re: Cheap resort/hardpack setup.

It's my opinion you can find a better cheap resort ski than the Widow. I think it was a rebadged 7S? Any decent resort ski is a good match for the HH's. Thanks Jeff and Dongshow. What would you then suggests as measurements/criteria for a decent cheap resort tele to go with my HHs and Garmont Syner...

198cm. I did not pick them up but I could if it was recommended. I'm 165lbs, 5 foot 10 by the way. Was thinking of slapping of the Hammerheads on whatever you peeps think is best.

Cheap resort/hardpack setup.

Hi y'all. I'm really new to telemark, coming from a nordic backcountry ski touring background. I'm looking to have some good cheap fun exploring various tele ski shapes, mostly as at a resort. I got hold of mid-FAT G3 saint with hammerheads. I have a pair of voile switchbacks hanging around and have...

Re: narrow double-cambered off-trail xcountry ski

Yeah by narrow I mean something below 70-65mm at the shovel. I'm simply looking for a XC-style ski that I can use for downhill and hardpack purposes only. Maybe the Sbounds 78 would be the best choice... Oh, you're right, I remember reading that the Rossi BCs were pretty much like alpine skis. I ne...
