Re: There is too much damn rocker out there! Wonkish discussion.

I also ordered some of Ben’s recommended Rex Universal Tar I wonder if it works as well as this pine tar based wax? JRW.jpg I have used the entire line of START tar pine waxes. In my climate and BC use, I fin the univeral is by far the best oif them all and what probably most resembles Jackrabbit's...

Re: There is too much damn rocker out there! Wonkish discussion.

When Fischer first came out with the xtralites (newer N. rockered 99s and 109s), it so happened the skis were also significantly lighter than their predecessors. I for one was actually mostly excited about the reduced weight. Installing bindings in a couple pairs of xtralites, I noticed how easy it ...

Re: Crispi Antartic

Oh nice they look in great shape. interesting to see how they broke in different from mine, with creases in different places. I have a tough time with mine they are breaking right above a knuckle and digging into my foot and I can't seem to figure out why. Woods, instead of keeping them in the clos...

Those Andrew boots look beautiful.
I hope to try on a pair some day.
So, do they not make a NNN BC boot?
I didn’t see any on their website.
Nah you're out of luck bro. Consider yourself lucky if you can even find a 75mm pair new in your size. In québec we would say "cé rar com la mard de pap".

WOW! such a cool piece of history. This is certainly UBER rare and worth $$$ amongst the rare breed of vintage leather collectors. This is a mantle piece!

Delam? I would not worry too much, soles of this kind can be reglued by any good cobbler. Its inevitable with the glue turn 15-20.

Crazy stuff. Good thing I have about 15 pair of mounted skis! Wish the situation was not the same with decent housing.

Thanks man! (Wow that tundra-mountain photo on the Varuste homepage is breath-takingly beautiful1) Varuste doesn't stock any 3-pin boots!? Their prices in general are excellent! (Wish they stocked waxable Asnes and Metsa skis...) ................................. Confirmation from Fjellski- They do...

Re: help me find a 3-pin 75mm boot that won't explode here in the hills

lilcliffy , regarding size, all I can say is that I am under the impression both Andrew and Crispi contemporary EU sizing are "standard", on par. My feet are 26.3cm, wide toe box and I'd go with a size 42 for both. I love my Sydpolens. The Crispi last is usually narrower than Andrews'. phoenix , I ...
