Re: The perfect tele binding boot setup.

Agree with "Why bother"....Super Rotta does it well with very little weight and with a free heel...a really free heel....you rarely get acl damage...Believe they have done research at UVM and the empirical evidence was free heel has far less resistance hence less knee damage...TM

Re: interesting old 3-pin Telemark instructional video

Kinda thought this was a humorous discourse Harris...Sounds like you have the problem...Low angle was skiing on the widest fattest non cambered heavy skis I have yesterday as did all the boys skiing with me...Heh, one even had a snowboard...pretty wide and non cambered....Most of the time I like wha...

Re: interesting old 3-pin Telemark instructional video

When I get them..heh..I will lend them to anybody who wants to ski them to compare...The way the kid and king launch would destroy the air core with a hole in them....Long time ago Teleking got three replacement e99 first year air cores...I got two and was injured so my third set was the last...5 fr...

Re: interesting old 3-pin Telemark instructional video

Also con-mon going to a different set of skis especially wider shaped skis is pretty easy...I'm not in it for the ease of tele because to do the deed well it ain't gonna be easy...The equipment you use is fine and would work well up around here but it begs the question...WHY....Big equipment is for ...

You know Mike I thought Conny was maturing but disappointed again...Attacking the messenger is silly...Attack the message, no problem....Like the UP thread as the woods don't look all that different and there is a lot of joy in the writing...Keep it up....Still think the Tao of tele is on longer ski...

Re: Rossi BC90s for taller/heavier skiers?

We like the longest length at 189...None of us are lightweights. At 189 for us it's a much more stable ski...TM

Re: Rossignol BC90/110

Telekid and Teleking like them and they ski well in the bush....Think they have the 189 version and except for the lightest and deepest they ski well on just about anything....TM

Re: hemiboreal forest skiing in New Brunswick Canada

Thinking go with the wax pocket....In these conditions below zero skiing the snow will be slow to begin with...Have had no problems with polar and green for breaking and the skis have been ok as far as cruising...But the crust is the biggest factor...If you don't have serious tips and length or way ...

^^^^^ agree with that! Had some Andrews North Rims and they were the bomb but those too were destroyed as are most things I ski...However @ 600 days on them they SHOULD have been destroyed....Telekid still is using his for downhill...and they are in good shape....Mine have been resoled poorly and ar...

Re: the magic and power of grip wax

With this cold polar and a light green has been excellent....Polar mostly and those 215 e99's have been a total trail breaking machine with the length and double camber netting great results....The crust however @ three inches under the light powder is tough when on the down...But high tips laugh at...
