Re: What is camber?

Jeesum I have a Shed full of Asnes......course they are wood and came from the early 1970's.....Might be time to try something new but I know the 109's and have no experience on Asnes except when I pull out the woodies and play with them...Kinda staying in touch with the past....So LJ got the 195's....

Re: What is camber?

Would be surprised if there is a math formula....But an e99 is double camber....A Fischer 98 (boundless) is a single camber.....(they had a double camber ski also)....Just look at a ski and if it looks like a 99 well there you go....Downhill skis are pretty flat....Most of the rest are somewhere in ...

Re: What ski/binding combo for Scarpa Fabiano?

Telebeaver...Lc is trying in a very complimentary way....to steer you in the direction the HISTORIC fabiano boot will handle....Bag the 88 which can be easily skied with leathers of any stripe...Put your hands over your eyes...ears...and without much thought go for the e99 or 109...You won't regret ...

Re: Tele vs parallel.

Easy to learn...heh....Just head over to the Gulf of Slides on Washington.....In the middle there was a straight fall line curve....Sooo came around flew off the "rise" twisted around 180o....dropped 10 feet and repeated the other way...Really wasn't any way to stop till the bottom....Seriously use ...

Except for the nnn part (pins are better..imo)...most of the rest will work....Skis just get them long enough....Leather is and always has been more comfortable....Tweaked my Achilles so might play some golf in my leathers today!!! TM

Re: How short for Glittertind?

"Stability comes from length"....Yup!.. And in reference to Vectors where you make lots of turns....long skinnies have a different path and it's one of elongation for that stability and in that position making an across the fall line turn is not real practical....Soooo....What we do is head them dow...

Re: Nordic backcountry setup for above treeline

Raniers have the same stats as the Rebound....Often heard they didn't turn as well as the Rebounds....Rebounds were discontinued and I think because they break easily...beyond that the Rebounds were excellent BC skis and dynamite in powder especially the 189's....GT

Leather is so comfortable....You also get instant feel feed-back....It's kind of like wearing a living breathing thing...Oh and the leaves with snow on them....Hope to sample that soon...TM
