Re: Scarpa NTN - binding release problems

I can't explain that, but one comment that applies to all tech toe bindings -- after you click into the toes but before you step down to engage the claw (or heel for AT people), you should glide the ski back and forth so that the pins rotate around inside the cups. They are designed to clear out sno...

Re: 75mm or Tech for waxless?

Well, I'll offer a different perspective -- depending on the objective and terrain, TTS on any Voile BC skis would be fine. For the rolling terrain, you're basically going up/down with only a Dynafit toe connection. I wouldn't ski down anything challenging in that, but for short rolling hills, it'd ...

Re: Scott Voodoo NTN doesn't fit outlaw x binding

I have been skiing outlaws with Scott voodoos for a few years. I have 28.5 boots with large bindings. It was very difficult to get boot into binding until I learned technique of putting pole tip into front of binding and pressing down on boot in the correct sequence. It all clicked after several be...

I would definitely contact 22D and shoe them that video. That's weird.

Also, while I can't imagine it makes a difference, have you put the flex plate in there and tried it? And have you tried it on a rug with you foot in the boot?

Re: first NTN thoughts- 22 Designs Lynx

I've been on the Lynx all spring, well since around March 1 and through May. They're fantastic. Yes, 22D should offer more active/stiff options to appeal to a variety of preferences and the longer springs will help solve the claw issues some have experienced (out of 30 days, I'd say my claw engaged ...

Re: Scott Voodoo NTN won’t lock into Outlaw X

And having Dynafit licensed fittings also doesn't mean that Scott, Crispi, or Scarpa will be consistent in setting the distance between the tech toes and the duck butt. Once a standard is established, then I assume they will be.

And as TomH notes, that's not the issue here.

Email 22D. They sold me a pair. It's not on their website, but they can sell them to you.

Re: Scott Voodoo NTN won’t lock into Outlaw X

Both have seemingly caused problems with NTN and NT Tech binders, not every year or every model and I think size matters too. And I stand corrected about toe to duckbutt; it's pins to duckbutt that's in need of a precise standard (apparently). There are jury-rigging fixes, but we should all complain...

Re: Scott Voodoo NTN won’t lock into Outlaw X

The bright minds at Scott and Crispi somehow altered the duckbutt's distance from the toe. This has happened for several folks and one guy on FB said he fixed the problem but adding duct tape to his duck butt. Sounds like a short-term fix but might be worth trying. Or get Scarpa boots.

From the picture, it looks like you don't have enough tension on the springs. It's of course hard to tell without the orange claw on there, but you might confirm that you're setting that correctly.
