Re: For Woodserson because I can’t figure out how to put a picture in a PM!

Is there a consistency issue with Alfa boots? Someone throw me a bone here. It's like an explosion of NNNBC boots in this house right now. I have the Kikut advance and the Skarvet Advance in the house. No Guard. They are both 47. The boot says 47euro 14US which is weird, 47 is usually 13, but whatev...

TRADE? Voile 3 pin Hardwire for Voile Traverse

Subject says it all. I have lightly used HW, would like a Traverse if you have one, in comparable condition.

I can offer either short or long rods.

Re: Will NNNBC handle this?

I guess this depends on a lot of other factors that aren't particularly clear. Are you trying to go primarily for turning, or do you want to tour around, do snowshoe type traveling but with more efficient skis, and some turns would be the byproduct? Or, are you going to spend most of your time at No...

Re: FT 62

I love the FT62. I am very happy that it does not have "classic xc camber". I think that the FT62 would be the ski of Saint Sondre's fantasies- he would have won the worldcup slalom with slippers and willow bindings with it! Agree. The FT62 "sparks joy" as they say. I have a surprising amount of lo...

Re: Ski to fill the Gap

Still looking for a ski that would fill the gap between a MR48 and the FT62. I PM’ed lilcliffy / Garett on this, and he replied with much to ponder. (After spending some time on TT, I have come to appreciate LC’s insightful and thorough contributions!) I have put his reply below. One thing he got m...

Re: FT 62

It's a totally weird ski. Skinnier than the Rabb, but more rocker. In at least a few inches of soft snow, I love it. Hardpack groomed icy resort? Not so much. When the border opens, I'll come up and you can borrow mine, try before you buy! (soooo in a decade?) Mine are the red/white version. I got t...

You have chosen wisely.

Tell me more about your kayak rig in that stellar picture. Any close ups?

Re: Newbie looking for wide fit NNNBC Boots?

Thanks. Just to be clear - I absolutely do NOT want a wax ski. Would the e109 with quick skins work? Can you ski with the quick skins on all the time if the terrain is really lumpy?? You certainly CAN but would you be happy doing it? If they get wet, they can lose traction, the glue can fail and th...

Re: Newbie looking for wide fit NNNBC Boots?

I live in Guelph, ON so that will be the terrain I ski in the most. Skiing mostly flat or rolling hills around southern / northern Ontario and I hope to do 2-3day winter ski/camp trips up north this winter. I'm OK to order from La Cordee but it would be nice to have 1on1 service. I will visit the M...

Re: Talk me Down... or Not!

I think the boot is pretty rugged. The pin line thing is from people telemark turning on tippy-toe and not keeping the Ball-of-Foot engaged. The only thing is that the duckbill can be a little thin for Voile bindings (fine for Rottefella Super Tele). I mostly solved this by adding the anti-ice stick...
