What boot is this? Scarpa NTN
Is the light funny? Wat ist das? Is this a TX Comp and it looks green, or is it an old TX that is in really nice shape after all these years, or is this some prototype new TX, the mythical beast of which many of us yearn? I'm hoping for the latter... the only thing really keeping me from NTN is the ...

Re: How do I ski the bumps in tele??!!
Great advice above. I'd also say, practice some more practice keep practicing. A lot of it has to do with your fast-twitch muscles. These can take time to get fired up and back up to speed. I am always, always, faster on the second half of the season than the first half. On the groomed, try to turn ...

Re: Help! Need kick waxing advice after a tour with much ski back-slipping
Indeed. 30 mm mohair kicker skins cut shortish or softer wax or klister. Those conditions are tough on any ski, so don't sweat it. Sounds like you had a good day regardless. On the bright side, your diligence paid off the other times when conditions were better. So, you learned quite quickly on you...

Re: Help! Need kick waxing advice after a tour with much ski back-slipping
(We don't have a snow thermometer but should get one!) Was this just because the snow was so incredibly old ? I honestly don't remember when the last snowfall in that area might have been and most of it probably got blown away in a big wind event we had in Colorado last week. There seemed to be a m...

Re: Fischer Powerlight Review
First, Fischer appears to be removing skis from their website as they sell out, so you can't see what they have in their catalogue. Does anyone have a work-around for this? (fischer website = dumb) Second, I bought a pair of Powers (SAME dimensions, NO edges, NO "lite") last year on super sale over ...

FS: Fey Bros/Summit Cone 177cm Pariah 19/20
177 cm Fey Bros/Summit Cone Pariah for sale, 19/20 model. Made for Fey/Summit Cone by NeverSummer/Icelantic in Colorado, USA. USED about 10 days, probably less. Chips on topsheet, does not go through the glass to the wood. Perfectly normal for side-wall skis with topsheets like this. One small scrat...

Re: New daily drivers
So, I’ve been following the Woods lift served ski saga for a while. How much of improvement over these skis from the K2 Wayback? Just curious, I do have a pass to ski weekends up north. Just more interested in some back country downhills. That and a 10 mile tour that is challenging ski terrain, no ...

Re: Combat NATO or Gamme 54, same same?
So now I'm looking for an all-rounder, looking to go from A to B where a lot of different obstacles will come up and snow conditions change. Hard to predict situation in remote areas over 10 days. I don't mind not going fast at all. On flat, those easy moments can go an hour or two longer, I have h...
