Re: Sbounds...leathers

She makes it look good! people were classy in the early 1900's. A foot+ of snow is headed for the mountains - slackfest could be epic this year - no high temps in the foreceast, I might have to fight the traffic & go. Tman you guys must have skied something in the Great Gulf, east snowfield are...

Re: The Åsnes Thread (News for 2018-2019!)

I am surprised at what happened to The Green Man... IDK Woods, All I can see is a wood core fulllength metal edge BC ski that weighs only 825grams at 200cm. Man oh man, I have to chat with Børge Ousland. I was so nervous that my favorites were going to disappear I didn't even see that! Holy...

Re: Fischer Excursion 88 vs Outtabounds - Newb

Nobody said XCD is easy. particularly telemarking or more XC type skis. You need to get the technique down (i recommend practise at the resort with easy turning skis without scales). .... S98 ok, Epoch softer and easier to turn, but also consider the Annum, especially if you have powder conditions....

Re: Voile Objective BC- good grip, not a full review but thoughts

Yep. Fun trail, lots of double fall line stuff, tight, good bumps! in the spring. Always a pleasure. Good cut-throughs also to get back to the Tuck Rav trail so you can skip the bottom and then cut back early up high to cut off the last 20 minutes. Then, lap the middle good stuff. This is from last ...

Re: Voile Objective BC- good grip, not a full review but thoughts

I've noticed the lightweight skimo crowd skins up the Sherby trail to avoid the masses of sheeple creeping up the Tuck's trail. Yeah and they hide behind blind corners and underneath knolls and are a hazard to skiers who are skiing the Sherb fast and with purpose. It's not as wide as it was in the ...

Voile Objective BC- good grip, not a full review but thoughts

This Objective (both BC and smooth base) is such a great ski. I have 3 178cm pairs-- a prototype non-scaled demo ski that is stiffer and heavier than the production ski-- I use this one on high angle steeper terrain where I need the power and chattering is not acceptable. I think is has the aspen co...

Re: Asnes Mountain Tour 51

So this is really interesting-- from the picture your WL have the skinlock integration, while Asnes website shows them to have no skinlock adaption. This is good news! Glad the 205 worked out for you in the WL without excessive drag. Connie's Way is a great trail. I would have been interested in joi...
