possibly as simple as a smear of compound on the inside that joins a smear on the outside through the hole.
That's how I repaired the hole in my bellows with sugru. As mentioned above, jb weld is too brittle and does not bond to the bellow material.

Re: has anyone figured out a permanent fix for holes worn in boot bellows?

*Sugru does not bond to oily plastics like polypropylene, polyethylene or Teflon™." Scarpa's are, I think, made from PU and PeBax. Unless someone here has tried it with good results on ski boots, I'd sure want to find out if Sugru will reliably adhere to those materials. I've used sugru on the bell...

Re: has anyone figured out a permanent fix for holes worn in boot bellows?

looks like the right sort of composite. how does it hold up to ski tip rub? I've used it on ski tips where the edges were worn or chopped up and it works ok. There's probably better products out there for that use though. What's nice about sugru is that it's moldable and flexible while it still hol...

Re: Season passes and Covid 19

Is your local mountain independently owned or is it part of a larger group? The small indie mountains are getting slammed without deep pockets... (of course that being said we're about to see how deep Vails pockets really are after last year's acquisitions, they may not be deep enough). Family owne...

Re: Voile Vector BC Binding Choice

My 180 Vector bcs are mounted with regular switchbacks and Excursions. I use this setup for touring for turns in the hardwoods in deep snow on short steep hills and I can't imagine a better setup. My ski buddy uses a similar setup except he uses cableless 3-pins and rips it up.

Season passes and Covid 19

Our local hill is offering season passes this season but they state that they will issue no refunds in case of closure due to covid 19 regulations. What is your local hill's policy about season passes/opening/covid-19 safety? Are you buying one this season or not? Is your local hill even opening thi...

Re: HyperV6 + NNNBC- crazy idea?

I dunno. The lightest I would go on the v6 would be t4 and the telebulldog 3 pins or voile 3 pin hardwire. These skis are for charging, not lollygagging around. The control you get with v6s and plastic boots is amazing so you can ski tighter lines more aggressively. Your terrain and snowpack is some...

Re: Where did you mount your bindings on your Fischer 78s?

Seems like balance point is consensus. Woods: I like the idea of mounting them slightly back from balance point as I would like to maximize glide. Turning is not my goal with this setup but hopefully always an option. I still have time to finalize the mounting location so I'll mull the pros and cons...

Where did you mount your bindings on your Fischer 78s?

So where did you mount them? The 78s don't seem to have any markings and the Fischer site offers nothing that's obvious. So I turn to the collective knowledge of ttalk. Pin line on balance point or chord center? Somewhere else? I'll be using the 78s for touring and some turns in soft conditions. NNN...
